INTRODUCTION
This brief period of life on earth can expose us to so much. Between the time of birth and the time of death, an individual can be exposed to a cocktail of fortunate and unfortunate events that can sometimes leave us wondering what life is really about. When we look at this temporary existence through the lenses of eternity we are exposed to a different reality. Life on earth begins to look like an audition for a life that will be lived out in a future eternity. Every year, month, week and day presenting us with events to help us express our faith in the Most High God. Each event challenges and empowers us to show how much we trust the one who created us. Every act of faith serving as a reminder that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. Leaves of Faith, employs day to day circumstances to highlight God’s love and faithfulness.

A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry: But money answers everything. (Ecclesiastes 10:19)
It is said that the lifeline of a healthy economy is a consistent circulation of money. Money is to an economy what blood is to the body—life. When we don’t have enough of either, we need more. But unlike blood, when we have enough money, we could use some more—and when we have more than enough money, there’s always room for more still. Money can buy you a private health plan and afford you the luxury of being treated by the best medical staff in the world, but it can’t buy you more time when your time on earth is up. No one can bribe death with money, and no one can buy his way into eternity. So is money really the answer to everything? Is the Bible wrong?
Simply put, money as currency is a medium of exchange. The right amount of the stuff (money) can get you any item of equal value. But what if an item is so valuable that no amount of money or currency can purchase it? Yes, such an item exists—and it is the soul of fallen man. However, nothing that can be printed or minted could redeem man. The value of man
is seen in what bought him (fallen man) back.
Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. (1 Peter 1:18-19)
Our worth is found in what was used to buy us back. Some purchases break banks; this one broke God’s heart. To provide the right currency, His only Son had to die. It was the purchasing power of the blood of Jesus my Lord that saved us. There is eternal life in His blood. I was bought back with the
