CHAPTER 1
The blame game!
(Acts of forgiveness and letting go)
Let IT go!
• If I would have never gotten pregnant early, I could have completed my goals. I love my child but I would have traveled the world first and gotten married
• I hate myself for not finishing school. Now I have to work this job to make ends meet. If only I could have done things differently
• I thought I was in love back then and now I’m divorced and too old to start over. If only I could go back in time
• Ok, I admit when I was younger, I was lazy and didn’t take life seriously. Now I have bad credit, kids in high school and college that I can’t help. If only I did things differently
• "I was in all the plays in school back in the day. I was determined to be an actor. I’m too old now."
• "It’s too much going on. I won’t ever have the time now. I have so many responsibilities now"
Shut that crap down! It is time to move on and achieve success! Even some of the greatest successors in the world wish that they would have done things differently in their younger years. However, they did not allow that to hinder their tomorrow. It’s time to forgive yourself and take action. Focusing on what you should have done is just going to recycle defeat in your current life if a change isn’t made.
Think about this: The things you did last month, last week or even yesterday…Is there anything you would have done differently? Maybe you regret skipping the gym and eating that fat juicy burger, maybe you spent more money than you anticipated, maybe you called your ex and you PROMISED yourself you were done with him/her. Either way, you did it and you can’t change it! Whether it was 20 years ago or just yesterday; IT IS THE PAST! You have to forgive yourself for then and begin creating your now. The past has to change from being an excuse as to why you are not where you want to be in life, to just being an experience. The question to ask yourself is what are you going to do now? How will you change
