Trials and Tribulations - K.A. Leger
Prelude
Ever have a dream; a dream that you never thought possible? That if you could just make a difference and connect with someone on a different level? What better way to write to show a different side of you.
Many of these poems and many of my writings were done at a dark time. A dark time where I felt alone and that no one would be able to understand me. This was a time where I couldn’t cry out for help without being laughed at. I know there are many people that feel this way in today’s society. There is nothing wrong with being different today. Being different makes you who you are.
If my writings can connect and make a difference in someone’s life, that’s all I ask for. Writing changed my life; the background story to my writings is that once I finished filling a thick notebook I would commit suicide. As we can see that has not happened. Many things have happened to change, my thinking of life.
To those that are fighting anxiety, depression and thoughts of suicide; don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are always people that love and care for you, even if you don’t believe that.
Jig 6/15/2007
Roses are red
Violets are blue
My father is dead
And we do an Irish jig on his head.
What I am 6/15/2007
There is a wolf inside of me
With fur of darkness, eyes of fire,
A heart of gold and cleverness keeps me out of sight.
It howls like a child.
It runs with grace and beauty.
It lives in my soul.
I am 6/15/2007
I am
Life, care, hope,
I care very much about animals and life.
Courage is most important to me.
Honesty is most important to me.
Gentleness is most important to me.
Kindness is a good thing.
Abuse is bad, but you can get away from it.
Many people are getting weaker,
Each day they’re getting stronger.
People are positive on themselves.
I am.
Rose 6/15/2007
Roses are red
Violets are blue
My father is dead
But my heart has not blead.

There is a wolf inside of me

It howls like a child
It runs with grace and beauty.

Blues 6/15/2007
My memere died. I always say to myself,
A sad thing to say, I wish she could’ve stayed
My memere died
A sad thing to say,
Well I bawl my eyes out
Everyone stay away.
I went to my room,
I could never understand why.
I went to my room,
I could never understand why.
The way she said I love you always.
I always seem to think of her and cry.
Up and about I shout
As I live each day
Up and about I shout
As I live each day.
Trying not to remember that day
Is it really too much to say?
The sorrow and pain
You don’t know of that day
The sorrow and pain
You don’t know of that day
To be 2/1/2008
To be the one that say I love you
every night
To tell you everything will be all right.
To always be there for you.
To tell you everything, I don’t tell my friends.
To help you out when things go bad,
To give
