Mark Gruber-Lebowitz

Mark Gruber-Lebowitz (author) is thrilled to be publishing his third children’s book. His previous books featured his Pomeranian, Ronan, as main character and narrator. Mark enjoyed the challenge of writing this book from a different perspective. He spent 36 years in the field of elementary education, as a classroom teacher, school-based administrator, and curriculum specialist. His progressive Christian faith has long inspired him to work for peace and justice. Mark is a devoted husband of 30 years, and proud co-dad of a certain Pomerian pup! Sheldon Gruber-Lebowitz (illustrator) is excited about this book’s departure from his traditional watercolor painting style. After 31 years teaching students to “think outside the standard art box,” Sheldon hopes this book’s illustrations will help readers envision the world of heroes in a new and colorful way. Sheldon is a committed progressive Christian, husband, and dog dad. He is looking forward to book number four!
