BG.jpgPROLOGUE
W ith the pandemic going on and not knowing where to turn, let me assure you, first, you are strong enough to withstand anything that comes your way with the right focus and mindset. Secondly, you are loved and favored by the Almighty. There are some people who never experience life fully because of their past. I want to tell you to do the opposite. Because of your past, live life to the fullest. Sometimes we are left wondering whatever happened to the good or peace that we search for in life.
Well, my friend, I want you to know it is still there. Just like a soft wind that blows with the sweet fragrance of a beautiful unknown flower, it is there to delight your senses and cause you to search for it. After you have searched a while, you find it. That is how peace can come upon you, or you can lose it. because you have not sought after it.
When we talk about peace, many ideas, pictures, or cozy thoughts come to mind. A love from long ago, maybe a family member that supported your wild and crazy ideas, or a pet that made you feel wanted and special. Like you can take on the world and win.
Then reality takes a bite out of it. Lost love. Dionne Warwick sang a song, Finders of Lost Love
(telling my age here), but when you listen to the lyrics, it required us to find that love outside of ourselves. Only to be dissatisfied with who we are and stay on the hamster wheel. Trust me, the decades of searching for someone outside of oneself to be happy can be a full-time job. Only to become disenchanted with life.
To be genuinely happy, you must first recognize what happy looks like, and that must start in you. Then, can you recognize happiness when it comes? You will not jump from relationship to relationship or place to place because you will realize joy, peace, and happiness starts and ends with you fulfilling your destiny.
Sometimes we negate to do the necessary things to get where we want to be. Meaning we look at people and things and go after them, not recognizing the road or struggle the person has endured to get to that place. We accept counterfeit behavior, things, and lifestyles to appear to have achieved a particular status. It will come back to haunt you. Your peace ought to be more valuable than what things look like to others. I get it; we hear everyone is doing it. Really, can we honestly say everyone is doing something? That, my friend, is a hasty generalization. We do not know, but your personal peace should matter more to you than what others appear to be doing.
Let me tell you a story. It will not be brief or pretty, although true. And then, you can decide whether to continue to follow the path of someone else instead of who you were created to be. My personal story will hopefully inspire you to recognize that if I had the strength to do it, so
