An Appeal
There are many different beliefs in the world. We all follow different faiths in our hearts. We do not relate to everything we read or to every piece of knowledge that is passed on to us. My knowledge about religions is limited, but I pick what I relate to from any religion or belief. The motive is to do and feel good. I consider everything that makes me come out of my misery towards the light, a blessing. So, I request the readers to take all the good stuff that you can relate to from this book. Everything that can make you change situations for better and leave the rest. I will consider my work done if even a single paragraph from this book changed your life situation for better.
I have used fictitious characters and a little story to give the book a nice start. The motive to use this story is simply to demonstrate that no matter where you have been, there is always a way out and a way back in. Where you end up is completely your choice.
This is not a one-time read book. I request the readers to refer to the book as many times. It is easier to fight a battle with others but with your own self. Since emotions are a big part of you and they are so determined that they will try to defeat you at every stage of your life by making choices and decisions for you. Referring to this book in every such situation will make you stronger to deal with your own emotions. Understand that you do not have to fight a battle with you; you just need to understand yourself better.
Acknowledgement
I would like to thank many people who offered support in many ways through my journey towards writing my first book.
My first thanks are to my wonderful family, my mother, father, sister and brother in law who supported me in every possible way. My son, who is my sole source of courage and my lucky charm.
I was fortunate to receive angelic help, so here I wish to thank my angel who now lives in heaven.
I thank the spiritual leaders Abraham Hicks, Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Sadhguru, Bharti Kumari Shivani, Mooji and many more who inspired me to gather their wisdom and put it in one book for easy access for everyone who needs it.
And a very special thanks to everyone holding this book in their hands and making my work meaningful.
Introduction
December is a cold winter month. It was sunny but still a cold day, the clouds were playing hide and seek with the sun. The trees were still, the leaves were relaxing and suddenly, a breeze made the leaves move with a great sense of discomfort… Rosa saw her own image in those leaves as she stood outside her house looking at the helper loading the car with her bags. She did not want to move from where she was. But her husband’s words I don’t want to be with you anymore
were like a cold breeze that pushed her to make that move. At that time, she had no choice but to do it.
She went inside the house and saw the two cousins playing with each other. Children are the best example of innocence, neither of them knew that their world was about to move. Each step Rosa took felt heavy and full of reluctance. Her heart sank as she picked up her niece, cried as she hugged her and felt like this was the end. It’s time to go Petal,
Rosa said to her daughter. Petal was happy as she thought that they were going for a holiday. Before moving, Rosa looked around the house. The walls that had spoken to her till a day before, today, looked sad. The front yard where she always saw kids playing together, was crying. She started to walk, but suddenly felt like something stopped her. She turned around only to see the corner of her shirt had got stuck in the corner of the dining table. Even the furniture looked sad on their departure. And why not, it had been fifteen years. That table, sofa, the beds, even the carpet, she had purchased with immense happiness in her heart. The feeling every woman has when she is decorating her home. Rosa realised that as soon as she stepped out today, it will no longer be her home.
Negative thoughts were haunting Rosa. What a male dominated world it is, he is taking my life away from me.
A few words took her life away. Yes, it took him that long to tell her that he could never love her. All these years she was his need, not love. Fifteen years of a life full of fear, fear of losing, fear of loneliness. Rosa was driven by emotions, and unfortunately all negative emotions.
During all those years when she was living a life she never wanted to live, Rosa did not understand the impact of these powerful emotions on her. She had no Idea that she was creating her own life journey. She gave the negative emotions so much focus that her life became a pain. Unknowing that it was not the emotion, but her focus on it that was making the way for pain to creep in. She often found herself fighting against these emotions because she looked at them as a threat to her. To her, it seemed like she was stuck in a whirlpool of all the negative emotions. Fear, guilt, sorrow, self-pity and so many more.
Everyone has their own life journey. Rosa decided to study what her journey had to teach. All these emotions, which she felt were getting uncontrollable. This made her understand that all human beings are always standing on the edge of a maelstrom. Every time an emotion strikes, there is a possibility that you may fall in the maelstrom or you can maintain your balance and manage to stand still. When you are struck by a positive emotion, spinning in the joyous lovable maelstrom is amusing. But if it is a negative emotion, then each spin of the maelstrom becomes breath stealing. Rosa, had failed to maintain her balance. The deeper she fell, the harder it got for her to come out of it.
Hence, she understood the importance of maintaining the balance and standing still when she got struck by a negative emotion. Knowing that it’s easier said than done, Rosa realised that the only way she could manage to stand still was by understanding the meaning and the power of that emotion and then deciding if it deserved her focus. It is a simple choice that people regard as the hardest. To help herself she started making notes about how she felt, tried to explain the meanings of the
