Victoria Jumoke (Falope) Adegbe is a licensed FAA and NCAA Aircraft Dispatcher and Ground Instructor. She studied Geography from the University of Jos, Nigeria with a BSc and obtained a certificate in Broadcasting from the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria training School, Lagos. She intends to conclude her diploma with Chartered institute of Secretaries, South Africa. Her aviation training started in 2009 from Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, NCAT Zaria, Nigeria; then Institute of Flight Operations and Dispatch, IFOD, Texas, USA. She has been privileged to work in different capacities with a few airlines in Nigeria including Presidential AirFleet, PAF and Arik Air. Vicky is the CEO of Insel Networks a company committed to aviation consultancy, publishing and training. She is the editor of aviatrix.com.ng an online aviation magazine that focuses on aviation from a womans perspective and is laced with humour. Victoria blogs on insidevickysworld.com.ng; where she shares the passion of whatever catches her fancy with bias to aviation. She is the author of Dispatch Made Easy- An Aircraft Dispatch Handbook, a book that teaches dispatchers in simple forms the skills of the profession and gives the layman an understanding of what it takes to ensure safety of every flight. Vicky is also the author of Atami, a book that has nothing to do with aviation but everything to do with the culture of a formidable tribe in the Nigerian Savannah. She has a passion for aviation safety and seeks to promote best practices in the industry. Vicky loves to travel, listen to inspiring music, read good books, enjoys the company of her friends and family and is a mother to the most amazing three kids on the planet. If you ever do believe in reincarnation, Victoria swears she sees strong resemblances in her quest for success in notable women who lived long before our time. CHAPTER ONE

ROME

Our flight had a stopover at Rome. I asked my mum if we had arrived New York and she said not yet. The flight had taken forever and I was eager to get to our destination.

So what’s this Rome and what are we doing here? I quizzed my mum further.

My mum took a deep breath, and with a sparkle in her eyes, reminiscent of when she’s about to tell you an interesting story, said,

This is Rome, the Vatican city where the Pope John Paul II lives.

Who is Pope John Paul II? I asked exasperated and what has he got to do with New York where I’m supposed to be? I thought.

Vicky, Pope John Paul II is head of the entire Roman Catholic Church!
