About this ebook
About What the Leaves Taught Miya . . .
Miya is a little girl who loves dancing, but her fear of performing on the stage always holds her back. She worries about being different from all the confident children around her. Luckily, her mother has the perfect story to help her feel better. Little Miyas story of overcoming her fears will hopefully inspire other children who may be in the same situation and realize that it is ok to be different.
To parents or caregivers,
This story highlights that all children are not the same and that it is ok to be different. In this competitive world, it is not possible for everyone to be a first ranker or a topper. We all have our unique identities which we must learn to embrace. As parents and caregivers, it is our duty to help our children to first discover and then accept who they truly are.
About Leapy Long Legs
Leapy Long Legs loves his forest and his friends but one day something happens that makes him realize certain important lessons in life. This story explores how his best friend, Bo the butterfly, helps him realize the important lesson of being humble. This story teaches children how pride gets us into trouble. It will also reveal to them the importance of team work and true friendship.
To parents or caregivers,
This story instills in children the dangers of pride and arrogance, while affirming important life lessons like team work and true friendship.
Both these stories introduce some new words for emerging readers to expand their vocabulary.
