Description
How many of you are care taking for a loved one right now? It’s HARD. I can say that firsthand. It’s hard, and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. One of the hardest parts of caretaking is when you have a vision for your loved one, or a story of how their journey is supposed to go, when maybe it might not be what they want. That is really hard to grasp.
Over the last year, I have really come to grips with that idea and today I talked about it on the show. You have to let them live their OWN journey. As my executive function coach Judi Johnson once told me, “it’s not my journey, it’s my mom's.” But when do you let go? How do you let go? Is "let go" even the right term?
Come weigh in, and hang with us on @ BetterTogetherWithMaria…would love to also hear your thoughts. We had some other new today that left us all in tears… One of us is leaving to go chase (his/her) dreams…I’m not telling you who, because you’ll have to tune in to find out. But we discuss what to do when you have to let go of one dream in order to chase another and the pain that comes with that.
Today's show was heavy, but it was heartwarming. We laughed, we cried, my dog Whinnie joined us… and I hope you will too. Tune in, tag a friend to join you so you can watch and discuss, leave us your thoughts below, and make sure to SUBSCRIBE on YouTube and Apple Podcast so you get those notifications and never miss an episode… join our @BetterTogetherwithMaria #HealSquad… you won’t regret it.
