Description
Happy Throwback Thursday Heal Squad. Today we’re bringing back our conversation with End of Life and Grief Doula, Dianne Gray, as she offers practical guidance and support on navigating the grieving process. Death is an inevitable part of life and through the perfectly, imperfect mess that this experience brings us, Dianne reminds us to give ourselves grace because grieving takes time. Once a loved one passes away, they’re not completely gone, their energy has just shifted, and we can ask ourselves the important question "Who Am I Becoming?" as we navigate life with them in a different form. Dianne also helps us address the often-overlooked emotion of anger in the grieving process, grief attacks, and various other components of grief that will allow us to look at it differently.
Healers & Heal-Liners
We all experience death, but what do we do with it?
If you’re a long-time caregiver, understand that caregiving is brutal.
Love is energy and energy is neither created nor destroyed. It just changes forms
Research shows that if we can go 20-30 minutes in nature, it elevates and changes our brain makeup and also helps us to connect.
If you lose a spouse, partner, or someone that they are tied to - give yourself a long runway. Realize that life is not going to change overnight. Give yourself years to adapt to whatever your life might become.
We cry when we feel safe. It’s our way to just release.
Grieving isn’t just when someone dies. Grieving is during the whole process of someone being ill.
Don’t put a period, where a comma has been placed.
