About this ebook
May the Holy Spirit continue to guide my hand in sending out the message of Gods love in the form of poetry.
Bobbie Greer
On the 19th February, in the Year Of Our Lord 2017. I raised my hand at a church service help at Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle Belfast. On that day my life saw enrichment I never believed possible. My character was that of a completely new person. Whereas I had minimal ambition, I had been given an eagerness to welcome the gift of each new day. Another 24 hours to savour the blessings he showered upon me. Did my life become less stressful?…..Not in the least, but I had been given the strength to deal with, and overcome with every situation I encountered. Where there was hate, now there was love, Where there was anger, now there dwelt peace, Where revenge festered, now was forgiveness. These traits would never have manifested in me had I not found my Saviour. But Better was yet to come. On the 9th August in the same year, I had, by far, the best experience of my life when I walked through the Waters Of Baptism and experienced the Joy Of Rebirth. The poems in this book are but a small token of thanks to the one who gave me Renewal, to the friends who encouraged me to record them and to the Holy Ghost, who supplied me with the missing words, when needed, to complete each poem. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them, and I pray that the Lord will come to you, as he came to me, when I needed him most……...Bobbie Greer.

FRESHER
Fresher than the raindrop, purer than the snow,
Warmer than the sun above, he ever makes me glow.
Caring, Loving, Gentle, all these things is he,
Without his love and Tenderness, I don’t know where I’d be.
He took the mess that was my Life, without a penny paid,
He straightened what was wrinkled, and laid a path ahead.
He removed my shackles one by one, and cast them in the sea,
He took the seeds of all that’s good, and planted them in me.
Whosoever calls his name, will never go astray.
He’s given us his solemn word, no-one he’ll turn away.
So irrespective how you’ve lived, or what you’ve done before,
He gave his life to pay your bill, and no-one can do more…….Amen
ETERNITY
I’d never contemplated, it never dawned on me,
When all my days were over, where I’d spend eternity.
My decision then was taken, It became my sole endeavour,
For Life is but a moment, but Eternity’s forever
From that day to the present, I have made it my decree,
To give my life to Jesus, the one who died for me.
I thank him for that moment, when I could feel him near,
When he drew back the curtains, and everything was clear.
So I have to share this story, about the Special one,
Who came to Earth from Heaven, bringing hope when there was none.
That you can make provision, and organise your plan,
That when your days have ended, you’ll be with The Son Of Man……..Amen
TIME
With every passing minute, and every passing hour,
Our time on Earth’s decreasing, like the petals on a flower.
The second hand keeps moving, going round and round,
Ever moving forward, as our lives are counting down.
And with each passing minute, so you understand the cost,
That minute your without him, is another minute lost.
Don’t waste another second, don’t let there be delay,
Tomorrow isn’t promised, you must do it today.
It isn’t very difficult, just say a little prayer,
Tell Jesus that you love him, and you are well aware,
How he had gone to Calvary, with wounds in every limb,
And whatever time that you have left, you’ll dedicate to him…….Amen
DARKNESS
When your standing in the shadows, and darkness fills your eyes,
Given time, eventually, they will acclimatise.
Slowly things will come in view, like a light has been switched on,
Things become much clearer, Like night has turned to Dawn.
There is a faster method, like an automatic flame,
Not quite so dramatic, but the result is just the same.
Just reach up and flick a switch, and day replaces night,
Immediately, you can see, everything in sight.
And life can be so similar, we all are in the dark,
It’s just how long it takes us, to ignite the waiting spark.
We might just keep delaying, ’til wisdom clears our view,
But tomorrow’s never promised, to either me or you.
So take the faster option, Put Jesus in your heart,
Do it now and do it fast, he’ll be your missing part.
I’ve told you of both methods, and I’ve recommended which,
He’ll bring you out of darkness, now’s the time to flick that switch…………..Amen
PAUL
From the moment of conception, ’til we return to dust,
There’s a road that we must travel, that’s laid in front of us.
That road can be precarious, so traveller beware,
Situations will demand, you handle them with care.
Along the way’s a crossroads, and there you’ll have to choose,
Your decision is important, it’s where you’ll win or loose.
For at this special junction, two signposts come in sight,
The left points to disaster, Salvation to the right.
This is your Damascus, where you can have it all,
Make a wise decision, like the one was made by Paul.
Follow his example, like when he regained his sight,
Ignore what’s down the left road, stick firmly to the
