Convicted - Darrell Shaver
It’s All Up to You
I’m writing this story for all the children growing up in this world. It’s all about dealing with themselves. Preparing for life in the near future. In this world (they say) there’s somebody just like you running around, a spitting image. Actually there is no body just like you. There are some people with parts like you, but there is no body exactly like you. Therefore, everything that comes out of you is authentically you. Because you choose it.
You own everything about you. Your body and everything it does. Your mind, including all your thoughts and ideas. Your eyes and the images it beholds. Also, your feelings, whatever they might be—anger, joy, frustration, love, disappointment, or excitement. Your mouth and all the words that come out it—polite, sweetness, and roughness, correct or incorrect, your voice, loud or soft. All your actions, whether they be to yourself or others.
You own your fantasies, your dreams, your hopes, your fears. You own reality, because you make it what it is. On the ladder of life, you own your triumphs and successes, your failures, your mistakes. Because you own all of you, or me, myself, and I. You can become intimately acquainted with yourself. By doing so, you can love yourself, you can be friendly with yourself. It can be possible for all of you to work toward your better interests in and of life.
I know that sometimes you wonder about aspects of yourself and that they puzzle you so, but as long as you are friendly and loving to yourself, you can courageously and hopefully find the solutions you are seeking. You can control how you look and sound, whatever you say and do, whatever you think and feel at any given moment. You can be real with yourself at any moment in time.
When you review yourself and ask yourself how you are doing in life, if something is unfitting, well, you can change it at any time you want. You are in control of yourself. Always remember you can see, hear, feel, think, say, and do with the tools you have to survive and make yourself who you want to be. You can be productive and make sense of things in a world of people. You own yourself and can engineer your own thoughts and feelings. You are in control of this channel and you and only you can change it. You can tell yourself, I am me and I’m okay,
or are you? Only you know.
Visions
Whoever I am, whatever I do. O God, please help me to live in a way that makes me credible in this stumbling block of life. Change.
Christmas
There is A great Joy in Heaven and Earth this time of year,
For God’s Great Heavenly messengers are everywhere.
The Songs of Emotional Experiences are all around us far and near.
Yes, coming from the Heavens to the Earth are white-winged Angels so very sincere.
Just ask A man named Joseph, he can tell you so,
For they came so very close, so very near.
Sometimes Dreams are short and sweet,
But Joseph’s Dream that day was very Unique.
For the Angels appeared in Josephs Dream that day,
And asked Joseph not to put Mary away.
But to marry her because of an Invisible Holy Spirit she had conceived on this now very great
Bright and Beautiful Christmas eve.
Visions
It is better to earn recognition without getting it, than to get recognition without earning it.
For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are lost. But to us who are being Saved, the power of our Lord Jesus Christ works in many Ways.
Amen.
Merry Christmas.
The Word
A Brilliant way of showing self-control,
Is Reading the Bible with understanding,
This I know.
The Spiritual word is so very near,
The fullness of Faith is too clear.
God’s word is of Spiritual Wisdom and Strength,
When you read it, you should really Think.
Receiving the Word, is better than resisting,
For the Heart of the wise, will be persistent.
If we read The Bible with will to obey,
He will show us his Joyful way.
What would you do for A kind word Spoken so light,
Well, if it was me, I’d read the Bible,
Some more Tonight
True Hope…
Understanding, Knowledge, Wise Thoughts
It is said the spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord.
But, what a long road wandering and searching the deep inner
Parts of his heart.
For with understanding, the heart is like a never
Ending ocean of memories of Now and Then.
When a man gets wisdom, he loves his own soul, for he
Has understanding and is wise with his wisdom.
Knowledge, is words of instruction and one should listen
Therefore to those words for knowledge is a precious jewel.
Good understanding can lead you to the way of the
Truth of life
The lips of the wise, administer knowledge,
For he loves the man, who knows of rightness.
The fear we sometimes have in the Lord
Are His instructions of wisdom.
Amen
We Are Never Alone
How does one know the way, it is to realize that God will undertake, your Burden and your cry to Him, help me for Jesus’s sake.
For through His son your sins have been released. But with his Grace, every trial of your Life, He keeps your Soul in Peace.
Although sometimes we ask the (LORD) for our special needs. It seems at times His ear is Deaf, no matter how we plead.
But up above in
