About this ebook

When you are feeling low, reach out for the Lord.

This is a collection of poems from me to you. These are poems to inspire and lift your spirits. They were written in the dark of night and in the early morning light and written from the heart full of emotion. This collection of poems is to offer inspiration and motivation to those that are feeling low. The Lord will speak to us when we least expect it. Listen carefully with your heart, and he will provide light in the darkest of times.

These poems were written throughout different seasons of the year and seasons of life. These poems were written with life and heart, full of tears and even laughter. Life is too short to be burdened with worry and dread. Let the inspiration fill you and warm your soul. Let the Lord inspire you and fill your heart with warmth, dreams, and love.

Debra Faye Barksdale

Debra Faye Barksdale, better known as Debbie, grew up on the East Side of Faison, North Carolina in a little area considered as Lake Artesia. She is the fifth oldest of eight head of children. She was born in August of 1957 to the late Percy David Barksdale Sr and Mary Elizabeth Oates-Barksdale. For as long as she can remember she always used writing as a type of therapy. While going through different trials and tribulations, she saw poetry as an escape from the real world. She began writing at the age of 52. It all started with taking notes during Sunday school and morning service from there, in 2010 Debra later joined the ministry, which allowed her to write out sermons that she would be asked to preach occasionally. That’s where the love and devotion for expressing oneself through poetry and short stories all began. She has always wanted to make a difference and strive to make family and friends love each other as God, would have them love. She hopes that these poems will help somebody as they have help her during writing. Debra Faye Barksdale
