About this ebook

The Author loves to see the look on a former gang members face as he or she stands on top of a mountain for the first time. The greatest view in the world is the look of "Ah Ha!" in a child's eyes when they finally discover what unconditional love is. I have prayed for many young people with simple prayers.

Prayer The Book - Bob Kuebler

    The Prelude (or Praylude)

You Might Think I'm A Fruitcake

    Monday, October 25, 2010 at 12:45pm.

On Sunday morning (10/24/10) I sat reading and praying. I believe that God spoke to me. That in itself could cause many of you to think I'm a fruitcake. That's okay, I am very cool with being called a fruitcake.

When I say that God spoke to me, here is what I mean. My gut or my intuition seems to cause me to stop and take notice. It's like an inner knowing or a spiritual nudge that just appeared out of no where. My relationship with God reveals His Holy Spirit within me. That's how He communicates with me.

On Sunday morning, I believe that God was urging me to write a book about prayer. It has nothing to do with my qualifications. There have been many books written about prayer by people who are highly qualified. It will be a prayer book for such a time as this. For such a people as this. A simple book, written through a simple man in simple language. A simple way to pray.

For the next 30 days I will write at least once a day. Next weekend (10/29/31) I will be writing from the Adirondack Mountains. We are taking a group of youngsters to climb a mountain. We will camp in the woods and I will not have access to a computer so I will share with you when I return.  I will seek His guidance as to what He would reveal about prayer. I think he wants to tell us Return to me and I will return to you. (Mal. 3:7)

When the messages are done, they will be assembled into a book. We do not yet have a publisher.  The book will then be distributed in the manner He directs. Any donations for the book will be used to support Youth With A Purpose Inc.

    The Preface (or Prayerface)

Most books have a Preface at the beginning to tell you what the book is about and how it came to be written. This will be called a Prayerface because it's a storybook about prayer. Stories are fun to read and inspirational too. I like stories and I like prayer and I believe that God wanted me to write this storybook.

An athlete is known to put on his or her Game Face as they get ready for a big game. Getting Pumped is another way to look at it. You might think I'm a fruitcake but, yeah, I get pumped about prayer. That's why I put on my Prayerface. Sometimes we feel like we are forced into prayer by life circumstances. We cry out to God in fear or anguish. Sometimes we just want to know He's real. Just like a Daddy - Daughter Date where a Dad sets aside a special time to be with his daughter, I know that my God sets aside a special time of prayer to be with me whenever I call Him.

This is a book of real life stories about real life prayer. Enjoy, learn, pray and most of all I pray for you as you read this book. I pray that you will feel God's love exceeding abundantly above anything you could have ever imagined. Peace.
