unsure of my destiny in life.

Then I see a guiding light,

    sending out a beacon,

as I am in need of help,

    in finding strength,

    peace, and security.

    A WORD FROM THE AUTHOR

As I mentioned in my first book, My Life, God had asked me to be his messenger and I have accepted. The message I hoped my readers to obtain in my first novel was; to have confidence in themselves, to believe in God, to keep faith and that there is everlasting life. Have faith in your God and be true to him for he will guide you through life’s journey. He will reward you plentiful when you are faithful and punish you when you are not.

With the help of God shining his light and calling me home, the help of my mother Melva, my Grandpa Frank and all the angels listening, I was able to write this book. When I confirmed my decision to document everything I have seen, heard and learned over the past few years concerning God, Christianity and Everlasting Life, thoughts would come to my mind and what could only be called gut feelings. These thoughts and feelings would help me to know what to say, how to say it, and when to say it as my literature took shape. Many people may think that what I am saying is only fiction and here say. They may even think I am insane, along with all the other authors with printed literature you’d find in the spiritual section of book stores. But you will not truly understand our words until you have had the experiences of speaking with a past loved one, either in heaven or in your dreams and you have had them touch you with a feeling so intense your throat will close up, your chest will tighten and your eyes will tear up with the realization that they are there for you and that your not alone.

The message I hope to give out to my readers in this book is that to feel peace, harmony and happiness you need to have faith in God and believe in him. He will protect you and reward you as he guides you down the right paths throughout your life. And he will inspire feelings in you that are so intense you will anticipate each new day and start it with an overwhelming feeling of love and peace. You will learn the true meaning and power of Christianity as you feel the power surge from you to another fellow Christian, strengthening the bonds of your communities and oneself.

If my novels have inspired people to trust in God or has helped them to better understand and accept that there is everlasting life than I would feel that I have accomplished the wishes of God as his messenger and achieved success.

    Success;

-To love and be loved. To laugh often and win the respect of others.

-To make a child laugh and win that child’s trust and to endure the betrayal of others. To appreciate beauty and find the best in others and to know that even one life has been changed for the better because of you.

    Bessie A. Stanley

"For God so loved the world that

he gave his one and only Son,

    that whoever believes in him,

    shall not perish but have

    eternal life."

    —John 3:16

    INTRODUCTION

Since my feeling of being a born again Christian in the fall of 2008, the Lord has finally found me. After my dream of when I visited with my mother in heaven, I pursued God’s wish to be his messenger. I ventured to a variety of churches and in doing so it posed several questions to me; What was the minister trying to tell us? Why did the people of the congregation feel the need to attend the service? Did they really understand or know what God was able to offer them? The more I searched, the more I became lost. At not listening to Him and blocking myself from all communication that could help me, I ended up wandering aimlessly, taking one wrong path after another.

Giving in to frustration I quit trying to find the answers thus giving myself three more years of misery, excluding friends and family. Then I had a dream one night in the fall of 2012 that will be with me always. The song Ship to Shore by Chris Deburgh was playing. It was so clear as if it was playing right beside my bed. I awoke feeling trepidation. Why was this song, and this song only in my head I asked myself. What did it mean? I knew I had heard the song before so that day I frantically searched all of my compact discs and my mixed tapes from as early as 1990. Then I found it on one of the very first mixed tapes I had ever made. I played it over and over trying to find its significance.

With my mothers help, yet again, I was able to hear her words of wisdom in the song. Every time thereafter when I would listen to it I would become teary eyed and think of her.

Some lines of the song are listed here to give you an idea of its meaning:

Ship to shore, do you read me anymore, this line is back and fading. Ship to shore, answer my call, send me a signal, a beacon to bring me home. I have been to see the world, tasted life at every turn but all the time your face came back to haunt me. Every day the feeling grew, I know I’m still in love with you. Ship to shore, answer my call, send me a signal, a beacon . . . .

As I felt myself approaching another hurdle in life, I realized what I must do. I needed to dock my boat and study the currents around me. But the winds were to strong and I felt like I was in a ship caught on rough seas and my doom was to drown. But then the winds bated and I found my way to shore, guided by the light of God and the promise of a better future. As I docked my boat I felt a new strength, a strength that grew stronger with my knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. In this new strength I could feel an added strength of support from my mother. I could hear her voice in my voice and recognize her thoughts in my thoughts. Thus I started down a new path and began a new journey and as God called to me, I turned to him for the answers I needed and trusted in him to guide the way.

It is in my opinion that when we are at our worst or of what we can only imagine to be our worst, we find ourselves doubting the Lord. Has
