Hello my avid readers. My name is Kellie Squires. I'm from the north east part of the United States. A true New England native. Born and raised in New Hampshire. I am a mother to four beautiful girls, Chloe, Nevaeh, Lily, and Willow. They're my pride and joy. I enjoy reading, listening to music, and of course writing poetry. I love spending time with friends and especially my family. I began writing in middle school. In high school, my writings started taking on a world of their own. I found that through my writings I could express myself freely. I learned how to control my feelings through my written gift. Imprisoned Love

Silent Prison

My love is like a prison always being discrete.

Hidden desires, seeking for inner peace.

Locked within my heart, secrets trying to rise.

A shadow amongst my thoughts, endless internal cries.

Yearning for release but refraining to have shown.

A sacred Serenity, a scar to the unknown.

A silent voice refraining to speak.

Denying thyself, afraid of thou retreat.

Exposure forever hidden, thy heart begins to panic.

Thy mind overblown, endless thoughts of frantic.

Prisoned Love

Prison of love, prison of truest.

My prison of denial locked by thy rebuke.

Trapped within my soul, yearning for release.

Silence is thy voice, afraid of spoken peace.

My life has been a prison, mostly full of shame.

Scarred by lovers continuously playing games.

I’m tired of being hidden, I seek to be exposed.

My love is imprisoned beneath my loving soul.

A secret between two hearts, shared intimacy that’s discrete.

My mind overloaded by thoughts of sacred meets.

Thy heart yearns clarity, exposure always denied.

Brewing at the brim, secret loving cries.

Hovering within thy silence, thy sound frantically consuming.

Thy voice forever hidden from a love eternally brewing.

Refraining Gain

There’s a secret that I’ve hidden, although it is discrete.

It’s locked within my soul of a sacred heart at peace.

It lingers within thy veins, it rises on it’s own.

It tries to consume but I refrain it from being known.

This secret has resurfaced, it’s appearance showed no shame.

It’s tried to control, acting like a game.

Thy strength holds it down, thy heart refuses to lose.

Thy courage against thy gain of a love that yearns to glue.

Sheltered Love

I sheltered all the memories, I kept them all within.

Resurfacing throughout the years, dwelling at the brim.

My heart begins to panic, my shield begins to fray.

Tightly taking grip, my reality begins to play.

I fight to keep it hidden, I stay silent with my voice.

A sacrifice to myself, a retreat of my own choice.

To protect my sacred heart, for years it has been used.

Doubting my own love, that I know could possibly be true.

It is me who pays the price, protecting my own heart.

Shielding out thy love, that kindled with a spark.

The flames they’re slowing burning, but somehow never die.

Trapped within my heart, sacred scarred lies.

Denial

An undying love, through a blistering hearts vein.

Frantic spells of denial, my emotions begin their game.

Surfacing through my blood, corrupting my minds content.

My heart defends her purity, my voice shields repent.

Thy actions show thy truth, only to thy love.

Thy hidden silence appears, through thy written gloves.

Thy love he is aware, although he’s waiting for my voice.

But thy denial of my heart, defends my lack of choice.

I will not speak my sound, I will not speak my peace.

For it will only be denied, that’s why it remains discrete.

To protect my sacred heart, so it won’t surface pain.

Because when you finally fall, it’s a choice of lovers gain.

Either win or lose, a sacrifice to oneself.
