DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to God because He is the only One who can guide me, through His Spirit, so that I can write the Truth. I thank God again for my spiritual leaders - past, present, and future because they have taught me to listen to what the Word is saying. In listening, I began to seek God in a way that I never have before. There is nothing, absolutely no thing too hard for God. My love for Him keeps me searching for ways to glorify His name and to continue to lift Him up so I can be drawn to Him.

My four children, Darlene, Tammy, Kelvin, and Von and my six grandchildren KeeKee, Dee, Nish, BJ, Little Kelvin, and Torchia will all benefit from my relationship with God. I want my children to know that they have a praying mother and my grands to know that they have a praying grandmother.

INTRODUCTION

As I pen this book, The Best Is Yet To Come, I am totally dependent upon the Holy Spirit to give the words and the direction. As I journey through the chapters of my life, I see the hand of God moving me into places I have never been. I become a little weary because I don’t understand the way He’s taking me sometimes, but I can tell you that whatever it is and wherever it is, I want it! I wholeheartedly want to serve God and do His will; therefore, I am walking in faith, believing that God has the thread to make the pattern that He has designed for my life.

When God first allowed me to write, I was in Greensboro, Georgia, my home town for 55 years. My church was Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church and my spiritual leader was Pastor Joseph L. Nunnally. Now it is September 2004 and I am in Abbeville, SC where I attend Kingdom Life Ministries.

Jesus saw me. He looked beyond the Cross, saw a wretch like me and beckoned me to come. So here I am, living with my oldest daughter, my son-in-law, and two of my grandchildren. Everything that God allows me to write is for the benefit of helping someone else. I have no skills. I have no plan of my own. All I have is Jesus! He is the Author and Finisher of my faith. My belief and trust are in God, knowing that He is real even when I can’t see Him. So please be patient, sit back, and see where God is going to take me in this season of my life.

PREFACE

Take this word and run with it. Don’t let it depart from your mouth. The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? (Proverbs 20:24) God is saying the road is steep and fast, stay close to Me! The Lord will never leave my side but He will always give me strength and prepare me to face the Truth.

He gives me strength and confidence to believe in myself and to do my best. With all my help coming from above, a happy ending is walking with God; therefore, the stuff that is happening in my life doesn’t matter anymore. His grace is all I need for what I am facing. I praise Him in the tight places! This move of God is a life-changing experience for me. He has a plan for my life and I can’t afford to miss it. He is taking me places that are better than what I left behind. Because He is my hope of glory, He makes the difference in my life. The ability to hear His voice is greater than anything that I have had to face. Just when the enemy comes in my life, God raises a standard of grace that brings me through! Run! The best is yet to come. By using my strengths against my weaknesses, I am using what I do have with what I don’t have. My deliverance will never come through what I have lost, but it will come by what I have left.
