Molly and the Baby Duckling

Molly, aged eight, lives with her mother and father in a cottage in a small village. It is wintertime, and Mollys father rides to work on a bicycle. The snow has fallen overnight, and Molly is so excited to play outside.

The family takes a walk to the nearby pond, which has frozen over, and there was a baby duckling that needed to be rescued.

Nice tale to read with a young schooler. Molly lives in a rural village, goes to school, and visits a nearby farm with her parents after finding a baby duckling lost in the snow. And how could I not love a book where a knitter is a prominent character! The illustrator did wonderful work! The book is colorful, larger than a piece of paper, and thin. My big disappointment was the full retail price, but I did see some costing half that, and the ebook price is quite reasonable. I entered and won a Goodreads Giveaway and was provided with a free review copy.
