Reflections of Life - Kenneth D. Williams
Trust is…
Trust is a fragile thing
It’s like Baccarat Crystal
Something to be cherished
Handled properly and with great care
For once it has been broken
It is virtually impossible to repair
Maybe it’s a little crack or the break was clean
The finest glassblower might even fix it
To the naked eye it can appear unseen
However, the flaw will remain intact
For even though the crystal now looks fine
Under the surface its repair is still an act
Unfortunately, trust is usually not just broken
It’s shattered into a million pieces, shards and blocks
A puzzle that can never fully be completed
There’s not enough time left on life’s clock
So think long and hard if a secret or vow is broken
Closed doors don’t open no matter how many times you knock
So take some advice and heed it well
Do not break the bond of trust, there’s too much at stake
Compare it to heaven versus hell
If we seriously had the choice to make
Let our action and decisions entail
Faithfulness to our bonds of trust- at least for heaven’s sake.

I was thinking about a person
I’ve known all my life the other day
Never really knowing their struggle
Not really listening to what they had to say
This person was always jovial
A never ending smile on their face
Caught up in a mentally challenged existence
Not truly able to express their disgrace
They lived in a silent world of abuse
Not visible to the naked eye
Because people never really saw them
They just said hi there
, hello
and goodbye
One day I took a minute to give them a proper greeting
Feeling somewhat bothered by events in the other room
It had been disguised as an intervention meeting
But then I noticed my greeting was overshadowed by this gloom
Flowing tears from the eyes of someone suffering
Silently screaming for someone to hear
They were there, they were someone too
They needed comfort, promise and words of cheer
I then took the time to ask them
Why the tears came flowing from that usually smiling face
They told me how unhappy they were
That they could not continue living in that space
I went immediately into action mode
Making plans to rescue them from an uncertain fate
I arranged safe harbor with loving friends
Possibly saving a life, removing one burden off their plate
After a while when things had calmed down
They resurfaced refreshed from all the love and rest
To mount up and prepare for the battle ahead
Remaining stronger, ready for the next test
One day in the future we talked about life
All the trials and tribulations they had gone thru
The Smile and laughter had returning as they were now happy
Through the grace of God…they were no longer- invisible
Big shoes
One day I met a young man
Instantly I knew he was special
He had an aura whose brightness
Was undeniable, unavoidable yet troubled
He was facing many things and walking what
He thought was a lonely road
What he did not know is that the key
To his happiness and mental freedom was
There all along waiting patiently for his
Awakening, his validation, his peace.
He is one of the chosen ones whose
Purpose begins with internal understanding
That he is more than his exterior or thoughts
He is vulnerable, brilliant, dependable, trusting yet
Trustworthy. He is one of Gods special creatures
Neither just coming nor his own discovering his place
His purpose, his Light.
He is introspective, yet needs not be as he has
Complete control over not only his surroundings, but
Is also a beacon and source of light and direction
For those around him. He is pure love, but does not
Give it without abandon, it must be earned and maintained.
He is Mr. Dependability. Often feels overwhelmed, strange
Out of place, but as he learns how truly special he is in
God’s universe. All this will dissipate as he realigns his universe to
Properly fit into his newly discovered paradigm shift and
Morph into the great being he is. He is a King amongst men
And all who are worthy, will benefit. Those who don’t will
Be dismissed as he requires order, trust, respect and peace
In his universe.
He is awesome, trustworthy, loving, respected…he has some
Big Shoes to fill, his own, but then again they are his Size.
He will succeed, he is called a Real Man.
Man’s best friend’s Angel is a Person!
Many people often refer to a Dog/Cat/Pet as being
As man’s best friend.
However, who is watching out for these creatures?
It’s often disturbing to see these innocent, loving beings
Treated with the indignities that is in direct contrast
To the title to which they have been so righteously assigned.
In many cases these beings are treated as family
That is good or bad depending how we as humans treat our family
members.
Some of us go overboard, providing more than expected to
These silent heroes and heroines of pure love.
They are protective, expecting nothing in return, but a pet, a lap, a little food and water for sustenance. Low expectations for the services they provide.
However, too often they, as are many of our supposed praised or revered possessions; are mistreated, taken for granted or downright tortured.
How can anyone in their right mind or consciousness bring harm
To creatures who sole purpose is comfort, protection and love?
I guess there is a devil. For only he could allow such atrocities to take place.
But thank God, for he is stronger than the devil by far.
He sees all and knows all. Although he cannot stop all the madness and injustices…he places earthly Angels to look after them.
These are the special
people, Gods earthy Angels, who appreciate what God has provided in these Beings.
The personal sacrifice, time, money, energy and whatever else is
Necessary to care for these innocents.
They help to return the favor and honor the value of these beings
God has placed upon the earth, who silently convey more in a glance and a lick, than any human being could in many
