CHAPTER 1

In My Image!

G ENESIS 1:1-3-IN THE beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God said, Let there be Light in verse 2 but on the fourth day light was shown to be greater in the day and less light at night. If every word God spoke started to happen why did the light show up 2 days after?

Well, God was showing us in verse 2 that He was the Light over heaven and all of the earth and everything came from Him first. v. 27-31 says- "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Once again Adam and Eve weren’t created them in a form yet God spoke them out of Himself to be like Him. Psalm 8:4-What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

God took 6 days to have everything in place for man to enjoy and 1 day for lucifer to create a mess of things!

John 10:10a makes a unfortunate declaration about the enemy that we face. Our everyday foe comes as a thief that cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

Fast forward, Adam and Eve fell because of their lack of attention to God’s instructions, not to touch of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which led to their ultimate ruins. It’s like you can hear God say after the fall, I’m on my way to see you again. We’ll fall in love again, I promise!

John 1:7-Wherfore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Since then, God has been looking for someone who would hold its ground on the Word of Truth, follow after rightousness, and do good towards all men.
