    PREVIOUSLY IN BOOK TWO

    PART ONE:

Flat Cat found out that unusual behaviour had been occurring in the forest every fall. He and his pack wanted to find out who was responsible. They became suspicious when they discover that three tiny old dwarfs were secretly living in the big tree. The unfriendly trio left their home in the tree only at night to wander through the forest. They had boarded up the entrance to their home and would not come forward willingly to explain their presence. Flat Cat and his pack wanted to learn more about them and where they came from. After one attempt to confront them failed, they devised a plan that worked to capture one. When the others came forward to ask for his release, Flat Cat and his pack learned the heartfelt story of their family and of their ultimate survival. Flat Cat understood the situation and realized that the dwarfs were not a threat. He used the magic of the forest to help them overcome their difficulties and live a happier life. They soon became accepted and welcomed by all as trustworthy and entertaining friends.

    PART TWO:

Flat Cat and his pack travelled back to the city where he once lived. Before they left, the Spirit Master Ming informed them of something which they were not aware of. He told them that the medallion of the Light contained a power that allowed travel through time and distance in an instant. This information was of great help, as it allowed them to reach their destination quickly.

Upon their arrival in the city, Flat Cat discovered things were not the same anymore in his old neighbourhood. They soon met an old friend of his and learned that a gang of renegade cats were causing chaos and terrorizing the neighbourhood. He reunited with a special friend, who offered him and his pack help and a safe place to stay. Adventures unfold and challenges arise, as they tried to regain peace and order in the neighbourhood and help others in need.

Before their return, they discovered an amazing surprise at the neighbourhood park that was life- changing for a family they knew.

    CHAPTER ONE

    An Unforgetable Day

Flat Cat was unaware that the dwarf twins, Morris and Mortikye would be celebrating their birthday that day. He woke up early and was not his usual cheerful self. The reason was because he had a strange dream during the night and it was still on his mind. Flat Cat seldom had dreams, and if he did, they were always about silly things that made no sense. However, this dream was different and quite confusing. He tried not to think about it, but it was still on his mind, as he prepared breakfast.

Sky woke up soon after with a yawn and a big smile. She sat down at the table and said good morning. She asked, Is breakfast almost ready? It seemed that her appetite had improved lately. Flat Cat figured she had finally gotten adjusted to the food of the forest. Her anticipation of breakfast usually brought a smile to his face. However, that morning it didn’t. Sky could see he was distracted by something, as he mumbled a quiet good morning. Finally, breakfast was served, and as they ate, Flat Cat told Sky about his dream. He said it involved the late Master Ming and a Spirit Master, who said his name was Master Jakarta. He went on to explain, I met him a few years ago when my pack and I went on an unscheduled trip through the Light and got lost. At that, Sky looked over with interest. I would love to hear that one, she said. That’s a whole other story that I will tell you, but not right now. Sky nodded as Flat Cat continued, Anyways, in my dream we were standing in the Great Cave of the Light. That is where Master Jakarta lives. It is also the home of the Great Spirit Master Abdullah. You know…He’s the one who first discovered the Light. Sky nodded and replied, Yes, I remember you told me that.

Flat Cat paused briefly to eat, then continued to on say, Then the dream got more confusing. How so? asked Sky. It’s because when I looked beside me, Jalico was standing there. That is strange, she replied. "That’s not all that was strange Sky. It suddenly got misty and Master Jakarta seemed to disappear, and although I couldn’t see, I had a feeling that the Great Master Abdullah took his place. He thanked us all for coming to the meeting. I think he was about to tell us something important when I woke up.

Sky nodded as she listened and agreed that the dream was unusual. Then she said, I don’t understand why you are so concerned about it though. After all, it was just a dream. You’re right Sky, he answered, but it’s just that it was so confusing and seemed so real and I don’t understand why Jalico was in it. What connection could he possibly have with our Spirit Masters? I don’t know, she answered, but I think you might be over-reacting Blacky. Flat Cat hesitated before he answered, "You may be right Sky, but there’s something I’ve never told you. Sometimes our late Master
