Dedication
and Thanks
I dedicate this book
to my daughter
Sabrina Dawn
Special thanks to my friend
April for helping with
the series’ flow.
Memory Lane
I’ll add a Memory Lane section to each book following this one. Each book will start with this section. It’s a brief update of the previous volume or volumes in the series.
This will help you recall the main points of the story. It will also help if you spend too much time between books. You don’t have to re-read them. Simply take a walk down memory lane.
Historical facts are scattered throughout the books to help explain a few parts of history. They will be in (*) and italicized. These are not history books. Most of the facts are in the last book when they reach Philly.
I invite you all to expand your imagination. Travel with Sticky, Robyn, and Dumbley as they embark on their Fantastical Adventures.
Explore the sights with them. Learn a little about genuine friendship, kindness, and what it means to help other people.

Robyn’s home is in the shorter tree.
Dumbley’s little cave is on the left.
Sticky burst awake as the fingers of dawn came through his window and lightly slapped his face.
He had one of his recurring dreams again. It’s a dream he loves, but it also scares him awake. His parents have been showing up in his dreams and telling him he has to go find his sister Faylin. She needs his help.
That’s the loving part of the dream. The thing is, his parents passed away during the war. They weren’t soldiers. They were just civilians who were in the wrong place at the wrong time when there was an explosion.
Seeing his dead parents again is scary, but he loves it. He can’t understand how it’s possible and shakes off the freaky feeling before beginning his day.
Today was the day! He was setting off on a Fantastical Adventure with his best friends and it was time to get going.
He eagerly awaited this day and couldn’t delay any longer. On his bed lay a well-loved quilt his mother had stitched for him. It was embroidered with the images of autumn. There was a large brown oak in the center of the quilt. It spread so wide it took up nearly half of the entire quilt.
It was rich with crisp golden brown maple leaves that were sewn into the cozy and warm fabric. Standing proud was a stag. He was nibbling amongst the roots as its antlers proclaimed him as king of the forest.
The quilt was a work of art sewn lovingly by his mother just for Sticky He felt protected by that love when he was wrapped in its warmth on those frosty nights and cold mornings.
He slid the quilt aside and leaped from his soft bed. When he landed, his toes were nibbling at the soft green rug made from special moss. Only Aberdene, a few villages north of Shendale, has this moss.
His toe’s action on the rug unleashed nature’s aroma. The smell reminded him of playing by the lake.
Little did he know that this would be the start of countless Fantastical Adventures that he would have with friends. They were destined to become much more than adventurers who simply went to Philly.
Shendale is a small village nestled in an ever-changing forest with red and pink flowers in spring, with lush green grass, and juicy fruits in summer.
The fall season gave them beautiful orange and gold leaves. The winter season gave them icicle diamonds shining in the sun. They twinkled and chimed in the wind and added beautiful notes to the song of nature.
Sticky is leaving on an adventure, not because he doesn’t love his home in Shendale, but because he feels an urgency to find his sister. The dream from this morning has ignited his
