Of all God’s creature there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the leash. at one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

CATS: PURRFECT POETRY IN MOTION
Have you ever watched a cat walk across the top of a door frame in your house? Or, turn the knob and open the door to enter a forbidden room? Does your cat answer the telephone before you can get to it? How about answering the door? Does your cat beat you to the door? Did you feel one of your cats walking across your body while you were asleep last night?
Most kitties are very agile; and, they are intelligent. A cat does have the ability to acquire new behavior patterns. When moved to a new home, the cat’s actions are probably based upon previous learned behaviors. Each cat is able to show their needs and desires. They also are able to respond to training cues. The knowledge the cat has is retained for life, as the cat has a fantastic memory. They have a very special kind of intelligence. Of course, I loved to be walked on. Don’t you? After all, to be treated as a piece of furniture is a pure sign of love. However, none of us will ever understand the mind of a cat!
My pet cats love to talk! You can hear them chortle, purr, trill, mew and meow, sometimes a hiss or a growl. A cat’s tail will communicate, and they move their bodies to communicate to their loved ones. The best body movement is the rubbing of your legs by the kitty, showing trust. Using their noses for nudges is a special way they can show the love they have for you. Also, a stare and/or the blinking of their eyes will tell you what they are thinking, sometimes curiosity takes over. When my cat’s ears are forward, it tells me my cat is alert, interested and happy. A mew
or a meow
can be a greeting from a cat such as, How ya doin’?
Loud meows early in the morning means, Get out of bed, I want my breakfast.
One of my kitties walks around the house meowing to herself. My cats communicate every hour they are awake during the day.
Cats have the quality of cleanliness. They are fastidious and are disgusted by anything that is not perfectly clean. Cats spend half of their waking time on grooming. Keeping themselves immaculate and fresh and beautiful is very important to them. In order to keep a squeaky clean coat, all they need and use is their tongue and teeth, with their
