Dedication
This book is dedicated to all the mutts who have touched my life and taught me to see and value difference in myself and others. In particular: Heidi, Ginger, Spotty, Tom, Marto, Lad, Enzyme, Blacky, Seina, David, Zorba, Yoda, the pod of spinner dolphins off the coast of Oahu, Nell, Ernest, Ricky Bobby, Hudson, Gabby and Oscar
Acknowledgments
I have two people to thank without whom Meet the Mutts would not exist. First and foremost, I must thank my CritterKin co-founder Marty Keltz who has believed in my work from the day we met. He is what every artist should have, a brutally honest critic, tireless advocate and gifted visionary. He not only gets
my ideas, but has many of his own to contribute.
Second, I would like to thank Karin Lippert for her pragmatic advice, in-depth knowledge of PR and marketing and unflagging belief in CritterKin. Karin was once a Promotion Director at Ms. Magazine, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that very little fazes her.
Preface
Welcome to the CritterKin world of mixed breed mutts, a place where animals (critters) are family (kin), and dogs with personality plus work on puppy training their people.
This second CritterKin Tale continues Sprout’s story and introduces you his buddies, the seven other mutts in the CritterKin pack and their people. Most of the stories are told by the dogs, so you can feel and understand their lives from a dog’s-eye-view.
Each dog is working on different lessons, the kind of lessons you might be learning too.
