About this ebook
Many parents find it difficult to talk to their kids about sex. It may be they think there is an age when this should be done and just never get around to it. It may be the child passes that age in maturity before they reach it in yearsin which case by the time the parent gets around to the talk, the child is actually too old and the parent just doesnt bother. Often the child will insist, I already know all that, so the parent doesnt bother.
They may think they know. It may be they know what their friends have mentioned or discussed together. Either way, unless you know what they know, you cant be sure that they do. This book may help parents if they find themselves in any of these situations.

Married with 2 kids, have large extended family. Have worked with kids of different ages and from different backgrounds, I feel adults are often hypocrites when it comes to advising kids – do what I say not what I did but no alternatives. We learn by experimenting and unfortunately sometimes the experiments go badly wrong. I’d like to try to help reduce the amount of experiments that ‘go wrong’.

About The Author
Introduction
Why did I want to write this book?
Simple, I think teens get a raw deal.
I have two teenagers and believe me when I say parents spend at least five years with a three letter word and a question mark, linked to their child’s name, hidden at the back of their mind – SEX?
Depending what is going on in the parent’s mind at the time, depends on how often these thoughts stay at the back or wriggle to the front.
It is irrelevant how much you trust your kids, or whether they have even given you cause to have these thoughts, they just appear over night and settle in for the duration of the ‘teen-cycle’. It seemed over a period of about a month, all was doom and gloom in the teenage world – according to the media that is:
Britain has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies
STD’s are at an all time high
Contraception and termination should be made available without parental consent
This last comment is in my opinion a parent’s worst nightmare. So I started thinking – not always a good thing for me to do; there must be something that can help. We were all teenagers once, and really not much has changed regardless of the ‘freedom’ and advice now on offer. Teens will experiment with sex as all teens have and unfortunately for some there will be consequences.
Sex is a natural thing; nature gave us puberty, curiosity, feelings and emotions; just because kids now have lessons of various names talking about the do’s and don’ts,
