Introduction

I have always had an interest in and read about angels in the Bible. Yet, there are many people who question the existence of angels. When people are really nice to us, or when children do cute things that make us laugh, we sometimes call them angels. Yet, I have had experiences with the real spiritual beings we call angels.

As a little girl growing up in Georgia, my parents always reminded me to be nice to strangers because I might be entertaining angels unaware. For this reason, I would like to share briefly my personal experience and then move on to share with you information that I believe will persuade you to believe that angels actually are real and they serve us.

I know that I have been protected by angels. Traveling through rain and lightning from South Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia around 4 O’clock one night in 1988, everyone in the car had fallen asleep, including me, the driver. I awaken when I felt the pressing presence of someone else in the vehicle. It felt as if a discerning presence, an angel’s wing, had touched my hand on the steering wheel while my car was headed for an embankment. Being fully alert after this touch, I immediately corrected the steering and brought the car back to safety. Through all of this, my husband and son were still asleep and we made a safe trip to Atlanta. I knew the Lord had sent an angel to protect my family and me. As the Scripture says, "For
