37016.pngBlack and Bald
I am black and I am bald
Revealing to you a secret confidence
I have yet to tell myself
Where follicles fell at twenty plus years
And issues were raised regarding
How pretty I was still
See my hair was thick and plentiful at one time
Yet genetic anomalies caused this crime
Where past lives and lost tribes
Cursed generations to come
With true lies and random alibis
Yet confessions from none
I am Black and I am bald
Follicly challenged to say the least

Embarrassed by who I am on this day
Beautifully made by God
With melanin and strength
Supple skin, luscious lips,
Round bottom and thick hips
Working my style like back in the day

It’s a physical state of being

To simulate I’ve grown my hair back
But Black I will stay as I was born to die
Beauty fades with age and ugly doesn’t lie
It
