    JIM MORRISON

    Sunshine enlightens the stone

The stone of the sacred garden

The stone which bares the name

    The man, the legend

    The lizard king

    He took the door

    Door to the unknown

Door to the world he loved so much

    The light shined once more

    On the pale face

    As the pine box closed

    To eternal darkness

    Comes the legend

    Riding the serpent of life

In the dark half of death

    The man is gone

    But his music lives on

As the door opens onto a better world

    And sunshine enlightens the stone

    COME BACK

    Lose the one you love

The one that was a father

    Your father

    Gone to a better place

No pain, no war, no anger

    Leaving us behind

    To wonder where you are

    Can you see me dad?

    Wherever you are

Hope you know I miss you

    Hope you know I cared

Never had the nerve to say it

    Regret it every day

    Told me never to cry

    Couldn’t help it, sorry

    I saw you laying there

    Suit and all

As your face disappears in the closing casket

    I couldn’t hold it in

    Couldn’t hide the pain

Of thinking you were gone forever

Gone where so many went before
