IN LAW
BOTH OF WHOM LIVE ON IN OUR MEMORIES
A GAME
Some people are snooty
Or stuck-up and proud
Others are boisterous
And rowdy and loud
By the way that they act
Or the things that they say
They’re in love with themselves
It’s a game that they play
They say that’s their freedom
They can do their own thing
But haughtiness is hurtful
And has a poisonous sting
The other side of the coin
Just could be you
A courteous person
Both helpful and true
ALONE
He took his wife by the hand
And slowly strolled away
Yes, left the young girl standing there
With nothing she could say
I did not hear her speak a word
But her eyes were full of hurt
My mind not ears could hear her cry
A lump was in my throat
He and she were not involved
Then why the wailing moan
She once had happiness like them
But now she stands alone
AMENDS
As time passes by us all
In the later years of life
By this I mean most of us
A man or his wife
Things aren’t as they once seemed
Reality so bold
With hotter summers all the time
And winters oh so cold
But I cherish still each moment
And love my many friends
I hope that if I’ve erred somewhere
They’ll let me make amends
ANDY
I don’t know Andy
Though I feel that I should
And given the chance
I think that I could
The things that he likes
To
