    DEDICATION

    To my eldest brother James Allen King who left this life midnight, Wednesday, November 20, 2013. He’s on the other side with Daddy, Uncles Roy, Thomas, Lacy, Aunt Hattie and brothers Willie Glenn and Lacy, praise God.

    Thank you for teaching me dignity, self-respect, to be swift to hear and slow to speak, to love, to suffer in silence and seek the face of God.

    I miss you. I saw the glory cloud over your casket and I know you are in Good Hands. Thank you Lord!

    ‘Blessed are the feet that bear glad tidings of good news, that publisheth peace, that soundeth praise’. Romans 10:15.

    To my newly connected niece, Mrs. Brenda King Jones, her spouse, children, mother and stepdad, you are all good news!

    FOOTSOLDIER’S MOTTO:

    Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

    Nor stands in the path of sinners.

    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

    But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

    And in His law he meditates day and night.

    He shall be like a tree

    Planted by the rivers of water,

    That brings forth its fruit in its season,

    Whose leaf also shall not wither;

    And whatever he does shall prosper.

    The ungodly are not so,

    But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

    Therefore the ungodly shall not

    stand in the judgment,

    Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

    For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,

    But the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalms 1.

    Ephesians 6

    FOREWORD

    BY PRINCIPAL VERNA CROUTHER FELTON, EVANGELIST

    In Ephesians Chapter 6 there is advice for everyone. The writer gives advice to parents, children, servants, and masters who are SAVED. The writer of the text lets us know that we all will receive a reward from Jesus whether we are bond or free. We are to serve each other as though we are servicing Christ at all times. When everything is said and done this is Who our service, giving, loving, or any deed is for anyway.

    Ephesians 6:10 puts it this way. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. At the end of the day, or when it is all over living this saved life in Christ Jesus we must be strong in the Lord. Not in our own power, not in our own might, not even in our own spirit, but in the Spirit (Holy Ghost) of the Lord.

    In verse 11 it tells us we must put on the whole armor of God. Why? Because we have to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Yes, the devil is coming. The word of God has told us the weapon will be formed, but it will not prosper. Jesus has given us everything we need to fight the devil. We are not fighting a physical fight; but a spiritual fight (verse 12).

    Therefore; in order to stand we must be like a good soldier and take all of our combat to win this war. Yes, the word of God has already told us that we are going to win-we always win if we follow the instructions of Christ (II Corinthians 2:14). We have to stand with our loins girded with truth (the Word of God-Bible) and having on the breastplate of righteousness (strength-that only comes from God). We have to have faith to withstand the fiery darts-Hebrews 11:6 tells us without faith it is impossible to please the Lord-Glory!

    The Holy Ghost is a must to live this life and to comfort ourselves and to communicate with our Heavenly Father. Therefore, we must have the whole armor of God each and every day. We are winners and we are on the winning team!

    God bless, Evangelist Verna R. Felton

    INTRODUCTION

    A true soldier of God knows s/he needs Divine direction. I, me and my are not the Trinity and do not make good captains. Shall the blind lead the blind and they both fall into a ditch. Matthew 15:14

    Jesus, the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls had a hedge of protection around Him as a soldier because He stayed inside the will of God. Not by might, nor by power but by MY SPIRIT saith the Lord. Zechariah 4:6. Obedience is better than sacrifice. He was both. He said His meat
