Introduction
Have you ever wondered why many people drive too fast or overtake in dangerous places? This book unlocks and explains the primitive urges that cause this non-sensical behaviour which most of us have witnessed and goes on to give all of the familiar examples. When you read this book, you should be overcome by a feeling of sheer pleasure which I call Righteous Indignation as you recall having witnessed these events yourself.
Primitive Urges
Driving is unnatural. It makes us exhibit behaviour patterns which match exactly our ancestors’ daily activities in their primitive lives, such as hunting, courting, impressing, showing off, being selfish, being generous, communicating with gestures, establishing rank or just simply hanging around.
If you consider that scientists think that modern mankind took around 400,000 years to evolve to his current state, but that modern technology such as cars, trains and aeroplanes have only been with us for the last 150 years or so, it is no wonder that driving a ton of metal at high speeds on tarmac roads is a totally unnatural thing for us to do, and yet we take to it like ducks to water and we think its perfectly normal.
When you start to drive, as a learner, your main focus is steering correctly (not hitting anything) and changing gear at the right time, operating the clutch smoothly and so on. However, as soon as you pass your test, and when
