Author

Timothy C. Jarmon

Timothy has a tremendous love for the word of God and for the children of God, and he wants it to be evident in his writings. He is a husband to Elizabeth for over thirty years, father to Katie and Christopher, Sunday school teacher for the Inspiration class, deacon, Gideon, writer, and poet. He has a desire to exalt the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and promote in others a deep sense of reverence for His holy name. He is a student of the eternal Word and has a passion for sharing it with people everywhere. He wants to be like the psalmist and instill in the hearts and minds of God’s people a very profound respect and love for His awesome Word. And like the psalmist, he wants to infuse believers with a determined resolve to live God’s perfect Word.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

First and foremost, all glory, honor, and praise be to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6. Jesus Christ is not only my Lord and Savior, He is my inspiration. Most of the poems I’ve written in one way or another acknowledge Him. They are about the blessings I receive from His throne of grace; about the way He has touched my life with special people or special things. I may be listening to a preacher, a teacher, or a song. I may be studying God’s holy word or simply meditating on Him and a thought pops into my mind and then the words begin to flow. When I get really still and quiet and listen for Him to speak to my heart, that’s when the words really begin to flow. At times the words come so quickly, I have a hard time keeping up and putting them on paper. As He gives the words, I write them down. To God be the glory!

To all my family who helped to bring me up in the nurture and admonition of the LORD. Thank you for all the times you took me to God’s house and encouraged me in the will of God.

To my pastor, Dr. Rick Reaves, who preaches to us each week God’s Word with great power and authority, as it is in truth. I have been blessed to see the love and compassion with which he has led our flock.

To the members of Hill Crest Baptist Church for all the wonderful times of worship and prayer I have been blessed to enjoy with them. It has been an honor to spend time serving our LORD with such a precious body of believers.

To my Sunday school class for allowing me to teach them the Holy Word of God. Inspiration is not adequate enough to describe the Savior I am privileged to share with them each Sunday morning.

To my teacher, David Tankersley, who has instilled in my heart a deep desire to feed on God’s Word and to share it with His people. I have heard few people in this world who have taught the perfect Word of God with such simplicity that His children can easily come and feed. Brother David is really gifted with the ability to present the Word so that the sheep go away having been satisfied with a feast for the soul.

To the God’s Grace Class for all the years of wonderful
