The sound of the school bell signalled the end of another school day. Usually, Mia and her friends would race each other to see who could pack up the fastest and leave the classroom. However, today none of her friends were inching from their seats.
Mia noticed that Teacher Melinda was passing around some papers.
OK, go home today and pass these letters of consent for your parents to sign if you want to join the field trip.
Teacher Melinda announced as she walked around the classroom.
Mia was confused, what field trip?
Brenda, what is Teacher Melinda talking about?
Huh, oh yes, you were away from school yesterday. It’s no wonder you don’t have a clue.
Brenda giggled to herself and explained that yesterday Teacher Melinda announced that the class would be visiting the local forest reserve this coming school holidays.
