Women today live in a world that demands excellence and perfection. Every woman, no matter the age, the culture or the background desperately searches for love and acceptance. In the worlds kingdom, it is all about outward appearance. Come journey with me through the pages of "Beautiful" into God's kingdom where beauty is all about His inward presence.

We will take the word "Beautiful" and letter by letter discover truths in God's Word that will empower us and change us forever. To my four beautiful daughters, Kristen, Keli, Kari, and Kelsey. Continue to be the example and to set the standard! Be faithful to teach the nine foundational principles of this study to my sweet grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Logan, Blake, Trent, Hannah, Hope, Leah, Aubrey, and Hadley. I pray that they will hold the example and retain the standard!

Two or three years ago, God took hold of my heart and would not let go until I sat down and wrote Beautiful. I was reading through the pages when the Holy Spirit started speaking to me about the amount of information being presented. We had a long conversation about taking the book and creating an interactive manual with no time increments and restraints. What I thought would be a long and tedious process took less than six months. I penned it as quickly as God spoke it. The words are definitely His words. I assure you that this teacher has learned much more from this project than any of her students ever will.

The interactive manual would not exist without the love and servanthood shown by my sweet Kari. Thank you for the long hours you spent sitting in front of your computer and typing the original manuscript.

Once the book became an interactive manual, the search was on to find someone to type the second manuscript. I have often heard it said that going to the ladies' restroom is an event for women. Can I get a witness? This idea was proven to be true when I was in the ladies' restroom between two worship services and God brought my sweet sister Charlotte Akin and I together. I shared my vision with her, and immediately she made herself available. Charlotte, you are a true picture of a servant of Christ.

Special thanks to my newly found sisters at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Words cannot express what your prayers and encouragement have meant to me during this long journey. I look forward to Thursday nights when we shut out the world and enter into His presence to study the Word together.

Thank you, Jolee Wintermantel, for coming to my rescue one Thursday night when I desperately needed a computer guru to format the final manuscript. God has my vote for you if He ever wants to add mastering computer skills to His list of spiritual gifts.

I knew that God had smiled on me when He surprised me with my second little bundle of joy just fifteen months after my first. Thank you, sweet Keli, for that Saturday in Columbus, Georgia, when we thought that placing the images in Beautiful could not possibly take more than a couple of hours. Five hours later, after no shower and no lunch, we arose victorious.

For as long as I can remember, I have lived in Girl World. In the beginning God decided that I would be a girl and live in this world of drama and emotion. From pink blankets to zits, from makeup to boys, to raging hormones, it has truly been a roller-coaster ride of a lifetime. Sure, there were times when I was screaming, Stop this ride and let me off! But there were also those times when I was laughing and giggling, saying, Father, don't ever let this ride end. I want to go again!
