About this ebook

Are you wondering: God, what is going on in the world? With so many things changing, there is still one answer that has remained the same: Jesus the way, the truth, and the life. This book deals with the inconsistency of the Church to speak out against sin. This book will challenge and help each reader to step up and release Gods Word into every situation; to bring Jesus, the voice of change, which will allow Gods kingdom to come and Gods will to be done in earth as it is in heaven.

Shelia V. Davis

Shelia Davis has been in training since the time she said “Yes God,” as a young teenager. She served seven and a half years in the US Army as a company commander training and developing young recruits. This time also provided her great insight into studying and understanding the importance of warfare—purpose, plans, and strategies. Her position as a social worker has equipped her with the sensitivity to minister and assist people from multiple arenas: sexually abused (molested and raped), addicted to drugs or alcohol, homeless, and all ages who are abused. Shelia and her husband began pastoring in 1993. As a pastor, God has blessed her with wisdom to incorporate all her training into ministering and encouraging His body. On June 23, 2012 Shelia began her own test with the passing of her husband and senior pastor and co-founder of the church. During the past three years she has consistently stood on God’s Word and released God’s will into the lives of her son and congregation. God has equipped Shelia with a firsthand experience to know how to speak His desire for her life and not focus on what her environment is speaking.

    About the Author

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to my son, Minister Desmond Davis, a young anointed man of God who has surrendered his life to the hand and call of God. He has supported and encouraged me to pursue the creative will of God within me, and his love is beyond words. Also, I dedicate this book to all the men and women everywhere who have heard and yielded to the voice of God—a willing generation who has purposed within that they will be the instruments to release God’s voice to all who will listen. I thank God for you, the bride; you have not conformed to the pull of the world but are committed to releasing a pure sound of direction, confirmation, and encouragement to those who are at the crossroad of decision. Continue to stand and speak for God, refusing to be silent, and God will stand and speak for you.

    Our lives begin to end

    the day we become silent

    about things that matter.

    —Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

    Foreword

I have been blessed to know Pastor Shelia Davis for many years and have found her to be an example and a voice in the Mon Valley area of Pennsylvania and beyond because of her love for people, her desire to do God’s will, and her preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She extends a helping hand to the poor and weak, gives hope to the hopeless, and reaches out to those who need the life-saving salvation of Jesus Christ. She did so with her husband and continues to do so in his absence. I watched the grace, strength, and dignity Pastor Shelia exhibited at the celebration of the life and home-going of her beloved husband, Dr. Terry Davis.

In spite of her loss, she continues to move forward in the work of the Lord, surrendering her life to service. How proud Dr. Davis would be to see his wife continuing what they started together many years ago. This book is an extension of their basic belief that the body of Christ must stand strong in this world and declare the truth of God’s Word.

This book was birthed in Pastor Shelia some time ago, but finally the inner voice began to speak out so loudly and so clearly that she could delay no longer. She writes now because time and events are crying out for this message right now. In obedience she has responded. The body of Christ and all who read this book will be stirred. Silence will no longer be an option! The mandate to lift up God’s standard of righteousness and holiness will again rise up in His people, and we will speak louder than we ever have, because these last days require a clear and holy voice.

Finally, as you read, pray for this woman of God, a servant who has obeyed the direction of God and put in writing what He told her to write. Is there a word from the Lord? Yes, this writing is a word from the Lord. Read it and be blessed.

    Introduction

Because you are reading this book, I suspect that you have been experiencing a pulling on your spirit. There is a tugging, a small voice, from within, crying out, Something is missing. You have experienced a frustration that you have not been able to explain or articulate to a degree of release. Within your spirit, there is a longing to hear something. If someone were to ask you, What are you listening for? your response would probably be, I can’t put my finger on it, but I’ll know it when I hear it.

If this describes you, then you are in good company. You are one of God’s elect who is searching to
