About this ebook

This is my second bookwhat I like to call my book of transition. Book 1, Through the Storms: In Search of Peace, was my book of pain, my struggle with abuse, and my place in this world. This book is after the healing had begun and acts as an inspiration to others. I have conquered my addictions and now lead a healthier lifestyle. Life will always throw obstacles in my way; however, it is how I overcome these obstacles that make me a stronger person today. I continue to connect with the paranormal activity that surrounds me. My life is never boring. This is my journey.

dedicate this book to my readers to show there is hope beyond our struggles. With hard work, dedication, responsibility, and a will to strive for a better life, we find the life we were meant to lead. I am thankful that I found the right steps. I have chosen 92 poems from my newest collection as a dedication to the year I graduated from college.

The poem Little Souls, is written as a dedication to the families of the victims of the Newtown, CT shooting at Sandy Hook, which occurred on 12/14/2012. This event spoke to me on a deep level as if the children were calling out to me to write about that day.

Little Sweetness, I dedicate to my darling niece, Isla.

She is precious to me and I love her with all my heart.

We share a unique bond that I treasure.

To my husband, Bruce. My love for you continues to grow stronger with each and every day.

    Chesapeake Blues

    10/5/11

    Sitting on the steps

    In the muggy eastern air,

    Alone with my thoughts

How much more can I bear.

    In just a short time

    Nothing was what it seemed,

    In search of peace

    Was all I dreamed.

    So many changes

    My ears heard enough,

    Through the minds of family

    How long
