About this ebook
Eton Wolfe
Eton Wolfe grew up in a small country town with his three siblings, two older brothers and an older sister. As he was always into the arts he felt out of place, hiding his love for the craft from all. Eton is a disabled, visually impaired veteran of the United States Military and is active in the local church, using every opportunity to share his faith in the risen Lord Jesus and help in whatever way he can find to use the events in his life to reach out to others. Mr. Wolfe is quick to point out that his diminished eye sight has only increased his vision as he is currently attending school for a Bachelors in Theology with a minor in Apologetics. Some may find it difficult to understand how he, being spiritually minded could write on the subject of loving someone who is not able to freely return those feelings but as Eton says himself “We are all imperfect. We all have things that we must struggle against, the problem with many Christians today is that we do not show the world our frailties and in so doing they either do not think that we can understand how they feel or worse still they see through our facade and realize that the holier than thou persona is merely a mask.

A conversation between poets
All the jewels
Almost there
Alone
Always with you always with me
Angel with butterfly wings
As but ships
As I whisper her name into the night
As the sun
Auspicious occasion
Awake my love
Basking
Beautiful soul
Beauty of the Queen
Before I ever knew your name
Before we knew
Behind you
Bent and broken
Best of friends
Between two worlds we dance
Blessing
Blind ice
Boundaries
Bridling time
Bring yourself
Broken
Building your castle
But for the asking
Calm within the storm
Coming of the king
Complexity
*Conflagration*
Could dreams ever be
Cry upon my shoulder
Cupid
Dance
Dance among thorns
Dare to dream
Dark world
Day shall come
*Days within a daze*
Deepens daily
Diamond from coal
Did you wish
Distance far too far
Distant wind
Do you believe
Do you realize what you do
*Dost thou tarry thine coming*
Dream
Dream comes to end
Dreams belie
Dream of her
Dreams that dreams dream of
Each beat is for two
Each day
Each time the dream must end
Earth wind and water
Eclipsing shadows
Embrace
Emotion revealed
Enchanted
Entrusted with such
Escaping breath
Fairy tale dream
*Faith’s Crucible*
Fate
Fateful night
Fear of death
Final curtain
*Final Tears*
First of many firsts
Flower winter spring
For all time
Forbidden love
Force that drives me ever on
Forever friends
Forever mine
Freedom
Free to dream
Fret not that you have time enough
From whence you came
Furnace that burns
Future distant far
Glad my sight is dimmed
God in His infinite wisdom
*God of all that I survey*
*God’s slave*
*God’s sorrow*
Grey my heart
Groaning heart
Guiding light
Have I lost
Hidden behind a smile
Hidden candle
Holding onto shadow
How I desire to hold you
How I long
How I long to hold
How we shall laugh
*I am poured out like water*
I be in waking
I can not help but think
I can not promise you forever
I could exist forever
I do
I dream of a time
*I drove the nails*
I hold
I imagine
I know he says
I long for you
I need to hold you
*I would stand*
If all we have is all we have
If I could
If only for a season
If the wait
If to only but hold the wind
If we were both free
In our dreams
*In the Potter’s hands*
Inevitably
Intimately hold
Is it to spoil
Is it wrong
It is this current pain
It is this knowing
It was not
Jester knight or king
Jesters are permitted to dream
Just a simple dream
Just allow me to be
Just so you know
Just to be your shoulder
Kick I on against the spur
King of dreams
King’s karat
Kiss me
Land that time forgot
*Lesser miracles*
Let me
Let us pretend
Let us slip to night of passion
Letting go
Lord of sadness
Love, adore
Love for always
Love in view
Love is pain
Love of a Queen
Love thee
Love’s lie
Love’s wing
Made for you
Mask
Mere mirror
Merely tears
Missed
Moments pass, my love remains
More than words
Morning while in mourning
Music fills the air
*My body*
My heart
My heart be yours
My nights
Never far
*No thank you*
*No time*
Northern Star
*Not my will*
Odyssey of love however long
Of love
Of seven deadly sins
*Of what I lost to gain*
Once I found a wounded butterfly
Once it is we
*Once more*
Onto the light
Onward toward our falling star
Others may not fathom
Our day has finally come
Our goodbyes
Our love shall hold
Our prison cell
Our time has been foretold
Our two hearts
Outside of dreams
Pain within while I am without
Perfect day
Perfect dream
Perhaps
Piece that brings me peace
Poems
Poet, knight, or thief to plunder
*Poured out like water*
Priceless pearl
Prisoners
Protector, Poet, Prince
Quest I on forever
Question posed to Oracles
Quietly waiting
Rain
Reality
Reason for the light
Reign within rain
*Rendering*
Restless again
*Reunion*
Right now we close our eyes
Rose trapped within a stone
Run the race however long
Run to me
Secretly hold
Shadow king of sorrow
Shadows ever dark depressing
She is beauty
She is gone
She is not you
She stands alone
She was even mine
Shield of shelter shadow
Should diamonds
Sin that so besets
Sit upon your throne
Slip away
Small moments
*Soldiers prayer*
Someday they shall
Someday soon
Someday when hope
Souls of destiny
Sowing emotion
Spread out your wings
Stand as still as stone
Statue of grace
Steel my heart
Still beautiful
*Still I sin*
Stronger day by day
Strongest weakness
Struggle not to know my mind
Struggling onward
Such as you
Tears stream ever down
The chair
The charge in charge
The clouds shall clear
The day drifts
*The debt*
*The dragon*
The kiss belonged to someone else
The Thaw
The wind calls out your name
The word for a feeling
Then dream with me
These hands
Thing that causes my soul to weep
Though our dream
Though we walk
Though your wings
Through eternity
Ties that bind
Till reality comes to pass
Time
To catch a butterfly
To feel you at my side
To love be blind
To taste of lips
To those tears of joy
Together we are different
Together we dream
Tomorrow shall be better
*Treasures*
Two hearts touch
Unrestrained
Upon the altar of love
Vast emptiness of my heart
Victorious dream
Victory shall come
Vulnerable heart
*Walk on*
Walls away
Waxen chain
We are imprisoned you and I
We shall love
Weave me
What would you do
When a poet dreams
When an angel kisses back
When days
When demons
When I have my heart’s desire
When I think of being with you
When it is I dream
When it is we dance
When you wake
While the morning
While you slept
Women strive to be
You and only you
Yours alone
A Queen needs a King
Beats true
Bittersweet
Goodnight
Guilt
Obviously unseen
Shall I

11053.pngFirst I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for purchasing this book of poetry. Please keep in mind that I, being a whole person, chose to compile poems from a wide array of subject matter. There are poems about love, sadness, and faith. The poems on faith I have earmarked with asterisks so as to allow for ease in navigating either to or around them, whichever is your preference.
Second, I would like to simply say thank you to my Lord who has never failed me and to she who will only be referred to as Milady, may she someday come to understand fully the love that I have hidden for so many years.
To friends and family, should they ever discern who wrote this book or its object simply remember that I am merely human.
11063.pngA conversation between poets
10224.pngThe thorns which I have reap’d are of the tree
I planted; they have torn me, and I bleed.
I should have known what fruit would spring from such a seed.
~George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage
Yah though their be thorns
Upon that most slender branch
They are there to so protect
Fruit from the crows sly glance.
And to a prince who braves the wounds
The pain and scars will heal
He shall have that precious food
From which to make his meal
10213.pngAll the jewels
10229.pngAll jewels loose their luster
Even stars refuse to shine
When confronted with the beauty
Of which I would spend all time
Someday my days journey
May see me safe to waiting arms
Of my beloved Milady
Who is hidden within my heart
So on I trudge this mortal frame
With lightened steps guide ever near
To that planned predestined day
When it is I can finally say
Milady, we are here
Almost there
10231.pngEach day that slowly passes
As moments slip away
We are growing ever closer
To that appointed day
Simply look back my love
On when we had but met
How fast that time has gone
I think it shall move faster yet
Though it seems so slow
While we battle through
Once it has finally past
Then I shall be with you
Don’t look at the distance to travel
Just focus on your hand in mine
We shall see the road is easy
And how quickly will go the time
Till then I shall hold you close
Run my fingers through your hair
Whisper these words to you daily
Milady, we are almost there.
Alone
10235.pngStand I alone upon the shore
Stare out at barren seas
Empty emotion, wanting more
Though no ships sail forth for me
A beacon of loneliness I wait for her
Knowing she does not show
Condemned to exist with this pain
For a beauty that must not know
To feel to love it matters so
Makes ones’s life worth living
I fear that I will never know
For the chance was never given
And now her heart to someone else
Belongs, I shall take my leave
Wishing only for her happiness
Though the wound I bear doth bleed
Slowly my soul weeps
In quiet do I mourn
The time did pass me by
So that now I am alone
11069.pngAlways with you always with me
10233.pngJust say that you don’t have to go
Stay here close by my side
I shall hold you as the evening passes
Let us pay no attention to time
I shall sit upon the chair
With you next to me
You’ll see my emotions grow
For this is how we are meant to be
Let’s pretend we have no need
No pressing to urge us on
Except that of my feelings for you
That are still here once you are gone
My desire is for you, Milady
Just to press in to you close
Know the only thing that separates
Is the thinness of our clothes
For my heart is found with you
And your’s is found with mine
They have begun synchronicity
As they beat in perfect time
One beat, one pulse, one sound they share.
Milady, you are never far away
For the aching within my chest
Reminds me of our appointed day.
At that time what joyous rapture
What sweet jubilee
For our chains shall be unfettered
As we become finally free
I will pick you up in a love embrace
Tears will stream down my face
As emotions pour from their hiding place.
I’ll be yours and you’ll be mine
For all time.
Yes for all time.
11071.pngAngel with butterfly wings
10237.pngI feel I’ve been blessed
Given great happiness
Thou I remain hidden unseen
My soul oft takes flight
Leaving me in the night
To an angel with butterfly wings
Each mornings return
Makes my envy burn
That it could be so to her near
When I was as slave
Shackled by chains
Bound for my body stayed here
Yet at least I in part
Was close to the heart
Of my angel with butterfly wings
So I shall pray
That there comes a day
When I hold her in more than my dreams
11073.pngAs but ships
10239.pngWe pass as but ships upon the sea
With veiled glance we eye
Hidden thoughts pass you to me
With no safe harbor in which to lie
So onward sail the mist and foam
Holding to our courses true
Perhaps in days we no longer roam
Shall find me beside with you
Then free, we’ll no longer be
Shadowed ships within the past
But drawn a catch within our nets
Sheltered in inlets at last
We’ll drop the sail take what we will
Leaving craft to be dashed by cliff
For we shall be finally free
To finally, honestly live
11075.pngAs I whisper her name into the night
10241.pngLonely ever on daily am I lonely
though my body is found here
my heart has left, my soul is gone
they have taken to the side of my Queen
still this form moves
hollow, the emptiness within filled with tears
yet still it remains empty
knowing our lives must be separated by distance
however we are never truly apart.
for the fire within this empty shell
burns as hot as coal
this separation will end
all pain will be merely the toll
exacted for such a perfect reward
for now I shall speak through my heart and soul
I will let them relay my love to my love
so as she hears the drumming soft in the dark
she may know that this poet’s frame awaits
aches for her touch, her kiss
that this form awaits to be made whole
not by the return of my heart and soul
but by her scent as she who is everything
finds freedom in her poor poet’s arms
so every second of everyday I pray
to hold the one who
