Philip John Miller

Philip John Miller is a native New Yorker. He holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the City University of New York. As an Army Officer, he was decorated three times during the term of his duty. The author has spent thirty-eight years in the Commercial Insurance Industry, specializing in the design and implementation of Insurance Programs for disadvantaged groups, including Non-Profit Organizations and for the Hazardous Material Industry. He has written various articles for the Insurance Industry and has appeared numerous times on national television, i.e. CNBC and FOX 5. He has also been a guest speaker on the Bernard Meltzer Radio Show. The author was appointed to the United States Presidential Roundtable in 2000. He is a member of the United States Senatorial Trust and was named Businessman of the Year from New York in 2001. In 2003, Mr. Miller was the recipient of the National Republican Congressional Committee Gold Medal for Business Leaders and the Congressional Order of Merit. In 2004, he was appointed to the Presidential Task Force. Mr. Miller’s name has been included on the Ronald Wilson Reagan Founder’s Wall in Washington, D.C. In the same year, he was also invited to serve as an Honorary Chairman of the House Majority Trust. In December 2004, Mr. Miller was nominated for the Congressional Medal of Freedom. Mr. Miller is published in Marquis’ Who’s Who in America and Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World.

It is an enlightenment and a gift.

These are some of my thoughts but most come from another source.

The more I learn the more I know how much I do not know or understand. Each new piece of knowledge opens up new areas of knowledge and the unfolding is infinite and beyond my comprehension. This is the mystery, which I try to solve.

It is only in this quiet that I can hear what I am told to write.

These ONWORDS and UPWORDS are meant to help the reader. If only one phrase helps you in any way, I will have succeeded in what I have been asked to do.

I believe that I can find peace from this new direction I have taken.

I have been told to share these thoughts with you and that is why I am compelled to write them down.

Nothing written is meant to be anything more than Thoughts from a Quiet Place.

I have been influenced by many good people in this writing and if there is any quotation of theirs, it is intended only to be shared not claimed as my own.

These are trying times for all of us and I hope you will find some comfort, realization and humor
