INTRODUCTION

THIS IS A BOOK ABOUT Love. It is a book I never imagined I would write. I am not a psychologist, nor a doctor, nor a professor, nor a minister. I guess if asked to classify myself, I would categorize myself as a philosopher. It’s not that I am a novice writer, either. I have self-published one book and I have sent out inspirational messages for years to a devoted and spiritual community that has manifested in my life. Even in my most outlandish dreams and visions, the thought that I would ever attempt to take on a book about the topic of Love was never on my radar screen.

It’s not that I chose this topic. It would be more accurate to say that this topic has chosen me! For years, I have also been a Life Coach and I have offered all kinds of programs, seminars and lectures about empowering one’s life. Yes, Love was always a constant background theme in everything that I created. However, based on my own inner story that only certifiable experts should be tackling this subject, the thought of making it my entire life’s purpose for walking this planet was truly a stretch.

With that said, what is unfolding for me is making it my singular focus in life to become the fullest expression of God’s Love that I am capable of being with the years that I am gifted for enjoying this amazing human experience. For you see, I have discovered that the only thing that is real in this human experience is Love. Everything else that we try to substitute for Love fails to bring us lasting peace, joy, and fulfillment. Love is the healing power of the planet. There is no other way to say it. I feel extremely confident in stating that I know this is true. I tried practically every other path available to me to find peace, joy, and fulfillment. They all failed. And, I suspect that you experienced similar results and disillusionments on your own paths.

This book is not going to provide you with empirical evidence and psychological research on the topic of love. That is not my talent, nor my passion, nor my gift. True philosophers come from the heart and soul of a place deep inside themselves that connects to Source energy. That is where the messages I tap into seem to source from as well. This book has one singular purpose—to inspire you to reclaim a memory of a Love deep inside you that is pure and simple and beautiful and powerful; a Love that is kind, compassionate, tender, forgiving, unifying, wise, and transcendent. The Pure Simple Love that I will write about does not fully embrace the worldly definition of love for that form of love has brought us pain, anger, judgment, and ultimately, an endless succession of wars and violence.

I invite you to join me on this journey that I am about to share. I do not claim to be an expert on human love. However, I do believe there is a Source, which in this book I respectfully reference to as God, that we all can access that is the Source of Truth and Love. My role, in the chapters that follow, is to be an unobstructed channel for God to set us straight about Pure Simple Love. If I do my job well… you are in for a treat!

CHAPTER ONE

LOVE IS KIND

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

IT HAS BEEN STATED THAT love is kind. When I think of kindness what comes to my mind is helping others from a motivation lacking all expectation that the act of kindness will ever be repaid. We have all experienced kindness throughout our lives—the unexpected appearance of a friend showing up to help us move, giving food and water to a stray animal, staying late to help a colleague who has been handed an unreasonable last minute assignment that will prevent them from having supper with their children, and sitting quietly and patiently with an elderly parent who has just been moved from their beloved home to a strange and intimidating nursing facility.

The list is endless and the opportunities for expressing kindness are everywhere. It would be impossible to look up from where you are sitting as you read this book and not find at least one opportunity to extend kindness within the next 30 seconds. What is amazing is that modern technology has given us the ability to instantly extend acts of kindness to people who are thousands of miles away. We can befriend a total stranger with a few simple strokes on a keypad at any time of day.

So with these kindness opportunities all around us, why has kindness become relegated to being an exception in our daily lives rather than a way of life? Why do we not practice kindness with every breath we take? Why must we be reminded by a bumper sticker on the car in front of us to practice Random Acts of Kindness?

The entire purpose of this book is to help you gain a new perspective on Love. The new concept is called Pure Simple Love. We will explore in great depth the differences between worldly love and this new concept of Pure Simple Love, which from this point forward I will also reference as merely Love. This book will attempt to highly inspire you to look at Love in a whole new light. It will provide insight into why those beautiful attributes of Love, such as kindness, have lost their purity and strength in the world. Throughout this book, the dominant theme that will accompany you on this journey is that the only thing real in the world is Love.

One of the premises that you will see as a primary foundation in this book is that the most sacred gift bestowed upon us by God when we came into this physical dimension was the power to choose where we direct and focus our thoughts. This gift became the power known as our Free Will. I cannot begin to impart to you the enormity of this gift. There are no words that can adequately convey what an infinite act of kindness this was from God. This singular power is the driving force that creates and holds together all the universes and galaxies within the cosmos.

While a lot of fanfare has arisen in the past few years about the power of our Free Will, it is still vastly under-appreciated by the majority of people in the world. Think about it. Even the Source of the universe, God, will not intervene to override your divine right to choose your thoughts!

Take a moment and really consider the implication of your Free Will. Do you know why this gift was given to us? It was given to us because our souls were created in the exact image of God. To have not received that power would have immediately reduced us from very powerful and infinite creators to enslaved creatures chained to the predetermined destiny of being a victim. And, had Free Will been denied us, that denial would have limited the expansive power of God. To have created a world of powerless and limited beings would have violated the energy of the never-ending expansiveness of Pure Simple Love itself. It would have been an abomination of God’s essence and omniscience.

Do you feel that? Close your eyes and really tune into your heart and feel the enormous freedom that God’s kindness has gifted you. No one or nothing in this vast cosmos can ever cause you to think a particular thought. You might be highly influenced, but in the end, the choice is yours alone to decide. You may make choices unconsciously or you may choose to listen to the opinions of others. But nothing in this universe can force or mandate you to choose the thoughts you hold in your mind. Talk about an act of Divine kindness!

Now you may begin to ask yourself why I am making such a big deal about this freedom to choose our thoughts. After all, a thought is a thought. Nothing ever happens from just one thought. In fact, isn’t it easy to hide and suppress our harmful thoughts so that there really isn’t any impact to the world around us? Are those thoughts not ours to hide and once they are hidden, all potential danger they possess die away? This way of thinking reminds me of a slang term my friends and I used to say during a pick up game of basketball when there was a question of whether or not a foul had been committed. The term was, No blood, no foul. However, this way of thinking is simply not the truth.

The Law of Energetic Connection

Let’s examine the most powerful law in the universe. Let’s call it the Law of Energetic Connection. This Law states that everything is energy, including God. All energy is interconnected in a limitless matrix that is invisible to our human eyes. The slightest movement of energy anywhere in the field of this matrix is felt by the entire matrix with no exception.

Since everything is energy that means our thoughts are energy. In fact, thoughts might be the most powerful energy in the universe as every creative impulse starts from a thought born of a desire arising within the consciousness of the matrix. The Law goes on to say that thoughts are the core universal energy that ignite the creation process. And, when we feel strong emotions of desire for a thought, the energetic vibration of that thought becomes exponentially increased. That vibration transforms from a smoldering glow to a blazing bonfire. The result of this transformation is that the thought’s vibration becomes the invisible, creative force that physically manifests within the matrix exactly what it is that was desired. However, the impact of this invisible thought is not limited to wherever the physical manifestation comes to life. The thought instantly sends out an energetic wave into the entire cosmic matrix. Every single thought you have ever held has impacted every planet and galaxy that ever has existed or ever will exist!

On our planet earth, this Law is often described as the butterfly effect. The butterfly effect states that when a small cause is initiated in an open-ended, non-linear system, (which the universal matrix is), it results in a significant effect throughout the system.

When we combine the two elements of the Law of Energetic Connection—the gift of Free Will and the energy of a thought—we have been handed a power so great that it is exceeded only by the power of our Creator. This power blows away everything we have ever been taught that is humanly possible. It means that every thought you focus on has the potential to ultimately heal or harm the entire galactic system. Now, do you feel the significance of your thoughts and the mind that directs them?

It is the awareness and utilization of this power that the great avatars who have walked our planet—like Buddha and Jesus—used to impact the mass consciousness of the world during their time here. And, since we are all creations of God, it is a power that we all can access. It is the power that you and I use each and every moment to create the reality of our lives, although granted we use it with a greatly reduced power of conscious choice and vigilance than those avatars mastered. One goal of this book is to help you understand the galactic importance of properly directing this power with Pure Simple Love. For when you direct it with Love, not only will it transform and advance your immediate life circumstances, you will transform and advance every single human being’s experience on the planet. You have the potential to be a new Buddha or Jesus, or even greater. This power is unconditional and the Law is infinitely fair in its application. What God creates can never be destroyed. Once something is created, it can only expand. It will never contract back into itself. Infinite Expansion is the God Force.

How to Spread Kindness

Kindness starts with a desire that forms into a thought. It would be far better for you to hold one pure and focused thought of kindness and not perform any act of kindness, than it would be to perform multiple acts of kindness with a mind that is holding any thought of fear, anger, jealously, or envy. Kindness can never be genuine if it is driven by a sense of obligation or fearfulness. I’m not saying that the kind acts you perform, void of pure loving intention, do not have an impact and cannot help others. Indeed they do.

What I am suggesting is that acts of kindness performed while the mind is not filled with thoughts of Love significantly reduce the impact they have in the matrix. Kind acts performed when the mind is in a state of fear send a mixed message to the Law of Energetic Connection. The ripple caused by your act of kindness in this scenario is restricted in its ability to expand. It primarily expands through the willingness of the people who witnessed your action to go out and share it with others. Unfortunately, the fearful thoughts you harbored while performing the act of kindness are anchoring down energetic expansion by creating a reverse butterfly effect.

Don’t get me wrong. Any act of kindness is definitely a step in the right direction. But if your desire is to become a fully actualized demonstration of Pure Simple Love, your thoughts are what activate the cosmic Internet that connects all the galaxies and planetary beings. If you are going to do an act of kindness, why not fully align you thoughts to the act and offer it up to the entire galaxy?

For a kindness to be of optimal benefit to another person, it must originate from a pure source of kindness. You cannot truly give what you do not already possess inside you. But who is the you that I am speaking of?
