Women and Trees
()
About this ebook
This book is a compilation of poems that not only reflect the authors deepest expressions and experiences of her life but it is hoped that it touches and relates to the core experiences in the lives of all women. It is an attempt to express our relevance, not only as women but our place in the bigger picture of the Universal scheme of things.
Thus, the title Women and Trees is most appropriate because without them life could not be possible nor sustained. The attributes of one mirrors the essence of the other.

Women and Trees - Karen Muhammad
WOMEN
AND TREES
We are one and the same
rooted in what’s real … Mother Earth.
And as the River of Life flows
over our roots depositing … experiences,
we derive sustenance from the River,
causing us to be strengthened even more.
Women and Trees are a community, providing
protection and comfort for all who seek
shelter. We are the homes for The Creator’s
creatures, both great and small. We bear fruit
and create atmosphere.
Forever growing up towards The Source of
All that is … our branches reaching out as if in
constant prayer, catching all Light from The Sun,
giving all praises due to The Beneficent.
Storms we weather … sometimes the scars run
deep, but firmly rooted in the Earth we stand.
The Winds, though they may bend us …
somehow we stand, seeking the Light.
We must be protected by the Garden’s keepers,
to harm us is to destroy yourself. For your life,
breath and strength can be found in us
and through us.
There can be no World without
Women and Trees
THROUGH
MORNING’S MIST
Like spirits ascending in the Ether world
rises the early morning’s mist.
While gazing upon the mist, past and future
can be seen, reminding one of a crystal
