About this ebook

See You On the Other Side of Through presents an honest and unblinking look at the challenges facing a contemporary Christian couple striving to live together faithfully. Pepper and Timothy Totten offer shared insights that reveal the details of their own personal battles. By presenting the travails and triumphs of their own lives and by bringing key passages from the Bible into the conversation, they have crafted a shared memoir that reveals the great truth of how the Christian faith offers hope no matter what.

Each of the brief chapters in See You On the Other Side of Through begins with a scriptural passage and then shares a narrative that explores the ups and downs of the Tottens life together, the wisdom flowing from the Scriptures, and the hope and encouragement that one can find in this mix.

This memoir documents how God makes His presence known in daily life, how belief can persist and indeed thrive in the midst of adversity.Whether the reader needs a completely new outlook on a current situation, a little encouragement to pursue a dream, or a renewed commitment to a relationship, this book of hope provides readers with a spiritual basis of compelling, profound, and transforming courage.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt receive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

    Psalm 138:7 KJV

A ll people---whether rich, poor, or somewhere in the middle---go through hard times. The difference between what you go through and what the next person might be faced with is how you choose to play the hand you're dealt. For example, the more you play a sport, an instrument, or a card game, the better you become at overtaking any opponent. The same is true for life situations. The more things you overcome, the better prepared you become for future trials.

Amid his 2014 comedy tour, Bill Cosby, America's favorite dad from the highly acclaimed The Cosby Show, found himself the subject of an evolving sex scandal that promised to change his life forever. Accusers, some teary-eyed and others with expressions of bitter anger, told tales of one-night incidents with Cosby that reportedly occurred twenty, thirty, forty, and even fifty years ago. The women could not recall details of the personal attacks, indicating that Cosby obviously slipped a drug into their drinks before the alleged rape. Cosby denied the charges.

Why now? Why at the age of seventy-seven was Bill Cosby being accused? If these crimes did happen, why did the women not speak out before now? As social media and the nightly news reported the growing accusations of drugged drinks and rape, the women's stories---with no evidence, no witnesses, and no apparent validity---became more ridiculous day by day. Because the statute of limitations had expired, prohibiting legal procedures or ramifications, the women had nothing to gain other than bragging rights for tainting the reputation of a well-respected man and entertainer. On the other hand, professionally, Cosby had everything to lose. He could be guilty and then again, he could be innocent. The public may never know what really happened between Cosby and his accusers mainly because there are generally three versions to any story---his version, the others' version, and God's truth.
