About this ebook

When the night is darkest, the day is about to break. The secular world statement that tough times do not last but tough people do, is so loaded, so much that if a man with senses can decipher the meaning beyond its face value; the depth begins to surface most specially when your toughness is rooted n God through Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

    Dedication

Unto God, the Father of light, who in his infinite mercies brought me out of darkness into his marvelous light.

To them all, who found themselves in the tunnel of life, which the darkness and discomfort of the place where they are at the moment continues to place a veil on the light of God at the end of the tunnel. He that is able, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, shall surely settle you.

    Special Dedication

This book is specially dedicated to the fond memories of my father, late James Oluwasuyi Daramola, who slept in the Lord on January 11, 1969, and late Apostle Michael A. Bamidele, Founder and General Overseer of Christ Healing Evangelical Church Worldwide until September 2007, when he was recalled back to base by the Great Commander-in-chief.

The true evidence of a leader is how much of impact his life made on how many people.

    Your lives indeed impacted many.

    Acknowledgment

I want to acknowledge the grace of God upon everyone that has been a blessing unto me during the course of writing this little book in your hand. They are numerous to mention, please note that I do appreciate you and my God in his endless love shall of certainty establish you in your various endeavors.

To Mine, Olakunbi, an epitome of virtue, thank you. To my children, Tolulope (Otiko), Naomi (Nene), Ayomide (Lelo), and Opeyemi (Grandpa), thank you guys. You are such a blessing and inspiration at all times.

To the entire congregational members of CHEC House of Joseph, Atlanta, who by the grace of God were the first ears that heard the messages of this book preached, thank you. My brother and close friend, Pastor Adeyemi Ogunsanya and his wife, Deaconess Adedayo Ogunsanya, you two are just too sweet. It’s been fun since knowing you. To my lovely sisters, Juliana, Folashade, Caroline, and Gladys, the thought of you at all times though brings to mind the pains of the past but knowing the love we share, I prophesy that the tunnel is ended and the light of God shall shine over us all.

I want to specially appreciate my sister, Mrs. Caroline O. Adewusi for taking time out of very busy schedule to read through the first draft of this book and offered very useful advise. Thank you, sister.

I want to reverently acknowledge my mother, for her determination to educate us even in the face of unimaginable circumstances. Thank you, Mama.

To my spiritual parents, Pastor and Prophetess Adegboyega Talabi, my Christian life would have been without direction if God had denied me spiritual parents like you, thank you for saying yes when God saddled you with the task of mentoring a rebel like me.

To Bimpe Abegunde and Elizabeth Akinbode (Mrs.), my spiritual children, for your bluntness and support, may my God continue to keep you and yours at all times.

Mrs. Oluremi Ogunfowokan (Iya Ibeji), what a friend you are! Thank you.

May the good Lord, guide you all through the tunnels of life and lead you unto his light, in Jesus name.

    Introduction

When the night is darkest, the day is about to break. The secular world statement that tough times do not last but tough people do, is so loaded, so much that if a man with senses can decipher the meaning beyond its face value; the depth begins to surface most especially when your toughness is rooted in God through Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

The problem with us as children of God is our lack of understanding of who we are in God, who God is, and the authority that we have in him.

Daniel 11:32b stated that those that know their God shall do exploit, meaning that without the knowledge of your God, His power, attributes, strength, and abilities, it will be hard to do exploits. With God all things are possible; suffice to say that without God all things shall likewise be impossible. It’s all about God and your knowledge of him.

A tunnel is not an end in itself. That is why it is called a tunnel; however long the tunnel is or may be, it definitely has an end and it is usually unto a lighted end. Though the tunnel might be dark and impossible to navigate, it has an end. The end is expected. According to the words of God (Jeremiah 29:11), it is a known end. It is an end that was determined from the beginning of days by the Creator of all things himself. In Jeremiah 1:5, He said while you were in your mother’s womb, he knew you and ordained you and, in a nutshell, he determined or shall we say he crafted the master plan of our lives? Hence, there is no way a thing we go through is not to his knowledge.

Note, you might want to ask, does he design for me to go through trials and tribulations as well? The answer is simple. God only allows certain things that he is so sure and knows will not test us beyond our limits or allow such things that we may not be able to bear for the purpose of glorifying himself. If man has it all on the platter of gold and there is nothing to test his or her resolve at all, the tendency for us to totally erase the place of God in our lives cannot be overemphasized. The Western world is typical example of what comfort and freedom could result to when it comes to relationship with God. Unlike Africa and the so-called third-world countries, where they have to believe God for everything that pertains to living, serving God in the Western world is based on rationale and not as a way of life. Unfortunately, God is not a rational God. He is too sovereign and powerful.

The extent of his power is beyond man’s understanding. This is what Isaiah recorded about him in chapter 40:21–23

Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens
