About this ebook

This book's purpose is to encourage, inspire and equip us to keep going whenever the going gets tough. We all need some enlightenment to help us in certain areas of our lives, mostly when we feel like we have hit rock bottom. We need the wisdom to learn from our past mistakes so that we do not repeat them. We need help on how to avoid making choices we made in the past and ended up landing us into trouble. Really, our future is determined by the choices we make today. Whatever or whoever you will become is dependent on the choices made today.
Your perspective on the past, your past, can have a huge influence on how your tomorrow is shaped. It can either be shaped positively or negatively, depending on how you react to it. The Journey of Life will guide you all the way on how to know what God thinks about you and what He has in store for you. You will discover how God loves you even when you feel unworthy, unwanted and undeserving. This book will challenge you to seek God more because it's goal is to change and transform your heart towards seeking more of Him in whatever situation you may be in right now. I pray that this book be a benefit to you in your walk with Christ.

COMMENTS ABOUT AUTHOR AND THE BOOK:

Pastor Joe’s teachings and writings cover the fundamentals of the Christian faith, and he’s inspiring and visionary.

Rev L.J Maeko: Vice President of International Assemblies of God(IAG) Limpopo District

Joseph is a man of many passions. He is driven by a passion for Christ, it fuels his actions, his thoughts, and his very life. He is a walking mystery, you will never truly know his heart from a distance. One has to be close to him to truly appreciate the essence of him. When you observe him you will be intrigued by the way he carries himself, you will be left awe struck by the layers he unravels as you go deeper into character of Joseph. How much more than when he has endeavoured to pour himself out onto papers of a book. Read the interesting pages of Joseph’s thoughts for this may be as close to Joseph as you can be.

The Journey of life is a profound book I have ever read, it touches the reality of life situation that we face on daily basis. It encourages us not to give up and to know God is always there on our side to direct, He’s never silent at all. What I love mostly about it, is it reveals the truth as it is. It has also helped me a lot on how to view life with God’s eye. As for the writer, for few years I have known him has been terrible years for him. Everything he went through, if God wasn’t there he would have gave up in life, yet he continued to run his race with all the bruises and emotional pain hoping on God for everything. At times I would think he was cursed or God has left him long time, but was lying to myself. The author of this book wrote his own testimony in papers, and I personally believe he was influenced by the Holy Spirit. He is a testimony to the world that no matter how difficult the journey can be, God is never silent at all.

    INTRODUCTION

Life is a journey that one travels. This journey is usually undertaken without a map or any guidance that may thoroughly prepare one for what tomorrow may bring. In the journey of life, we all encounter different trials, temptations and challenges. These are often the challenges we were never prepared to encounter along the way. It is at such times that one would feel emptied and drained by these trials. It may even feel like there is no one available or willing to help shoulder the burden(s). One ends up feeling all alone. Yes, feeling all alone is part and parcel of what we experience as we go through the journey of life. My brothers and sisters, this world is full of challenges. These challenges, however, are not meant to overpower or even to drag us down; they are meant to shape us for the greater good. And so, I wrote this book because I wanted to comfort and share some helpful counsel on how you can endure the journey of life with courage and power. I also wanted to help you recover from the scars you may have received as you went through your journey of life. I wanted you to know that despite your failures and flop in this life, you can still live life to the fullest. Each one of us truly needs a friend, a counsellor or even a mentor in this journey of life. This book is intended to serve as your Paracletos (that friend who faithfully and intimately walks by your side, all the time).

The book is intended to guide, comfort, heal and empower any human being in their various seasons of life. As you read, you will notice that the major theme of the book is that no one was designed by God to live as a failure in this life. You will notice that we all have been afforded another chance to rise and live fully through the blood of Jesus Christ. Thus, we are all empowered, by Christ, to rise from the dust and ashes, dust ourselves off and run this race without any fear or reservation. You are meant to run the race and reach the finish line as a winner. You are not wired for failure; you can do it. You can win any battle because Christ will definitely help you to run and win this race. The Apostle Paul had this assurance, this conviction: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13 NKJV). You too can all things through Christ who enables you. So, why don’t you go ahead and turn the next page, and find out how?
