CK Barrett

CK Barrett is a giant among pigmies and a woman among men. She was born and bred in Saint Louis, Missouri. After 18 years she felt it was her duty to see more of the world. So CK traveled to the wilds of Tulsa, Oklahoma for a degree in Theatre Studies. After learning to spell Oklahoma thanks to the tireless efforts of Rodgers and Hammerstein, she moved back to Saint Louis to be with her people, at the everydaycircus. Eventually it was noted that CK would never be a great juggler, so she ran away from the circus to Chicago, Illinois where she has stayed for the past six years. Although when the wind moves her soul she must physically move with it, because it seems to be attached to her body. Where she will go, she does not know but she is excited for the journey.

    THANK YOU

    Pre face ;)

    Dear Diary,

I guess, I’m aloud just one day

    For mourning my mistakes

    that’s a sign

    I feel means

    Really I’m fine

It’s neither here nor there but do I care

    Yes

    I guess

    I do but this

    me, finding rhyming succession

Is it, so much for a confession

    a lesson.

So my spirit’s been lifted and gifted

But this writing is pretty lame

    Except for form and frame

But I’m glad it out came

I talked it out last night to relieve fright

Whether it’s too much work and no play

I don’t know but I am not left dull

    No matter what rolls in

    the old noggin

It’s just that I tend a lot to mull

    Now I try to say

    most

    everything I am thinking

There was a time I said nothing at all

I had built a China wall

    But all that

    Now starting to fall

    It’s time,

I guess I can’t do this all day

Although I sure would like to

    Soliloquize

    A sonata in words

    Nothing fancy will do

Maybe no more than an inch or two

    But I’ve always been short

And rambling so to all of you

    Just thanks for the support

    In the ideas I court

Just one P.S. before I go onto mundane,

    Things sometimes become quite clear

    To realize

And it’s just me with the fear

    That I’ve come so near

    But won’t be able

    to finish

    my startings.

    So

I’ll step away from the brink

    And find my own sync

    Always a link,
