    Preface

This book was inspired by the Holy Spirit. I am grateful to those who have supported me in this project. The poems are a document to truth as known in the scriptures and historians of those times. It is my prayer that you and your family will gain spiritual enlightenment.

    Meditation

As the gull soars, the ocean roars

The wind quietly caresses the willows

So they bow and bend as

God blesses the broken heart to mend

Humans lack the understanding, it is true

Of Christ who died only for me and you

    Pain, agony, misery and torture

Have been His mission and fortune

Given by my Heavenly Father from above

Christ grants me His peace and love

By His death on the cross, I am truly free

And most always and consistently can be me

I have a commitment to Christ in every season

The stakes are high: God loves me because the reason

    Is sacred and well-thought through

His only wish is the best for me and you

Death is as much a reality as birth

And old age few can escape it,

It is the one certainty of life

Stay close to God and avoid the strife!

We search and pray and hope each day

To find the way for work, for love

For each and every moment to caress

To accept His grace and be blessed

To accept this grace and find this joy

Is no mistake to you, I employ

Praise our Lord and open your mind

The love of God is one of a kind

    My Stars

Each morning as I walk out into the night

My stars are shining in God’s heaven so bright

I marvel at His works and adore the sight

Another day, a new beginning, my world is right

I walk the distance each and every day

After I’ve been on my knees to Him I pray

To thank Him of His abundant blessings given

Only for the asking from my Father in heaven

Look up to the heavens; I want to shout!

See my stars, that’s what the world’s about

Each star set with its very own glory

Just as the star of Bethlehem, so the story

My stars remind me of our good fortune

To live in a land of plenty and freedom

My stars are on my flag of Old Glory

God bless America, my stars and my liberty!
