About this ebook

I believe my poems are inspired by the Lord. Some of the poems have a strong message, others bring comfort and strength. And if you walk softly as you amble down the page, you will see the hand of Jesus and behold his awesome face.

From God to His Children - Verna Whyte

    Within this Book

Within this book, I pray you find

A blessing of the very best kind

A spoken word, a gentle touch

The peace of God and his perfect love

He knows our faults, our needs, and cares

He’ll help us climb those holy stairs

To obey God’s voice when he says no

    "Now walk through the fire

    I won’t let you go"

There are ins and outs, ups and downs

Back and forth and leaps and bounds

There are blessings and mercy, sickness, and stress

    Keep your faith in Jesus

    He always does his best.

    Victory Prevails

You have my power and I am your light

So hand in hand, all trials we’ll fight

My mercy and love transcend evermore

My strength and my glory on you I will pour

Now Satan may say, Your faith now is low

Just take out God’s sword and thrust with a blow

Say, "Jesus, my Savior, stands right by my side

And you’re not a match for my Savior and I

"So in the name of Jesus and the power of His blood

I command you, Satan, with authority from above

Depart and begone, vamoose, you old
