One Focus Christian Poetry is inspired by the Word of God and shared to glorify God in His Son Jesus. In this sin-sick fallen world the Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), the only hope to reach His Father in Heaven. ABOVE ALL a sovereign HOLY GOD oversees and directs; every people group and every nation is under His supreme authority.
The prophet Isaiah of Old put it this way: “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways... As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it flourish... so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth. It will not return to Me [unfulfilled]." See Isaiah 55:9,10 & 11
When God said, “Let there be light," there was light! See Genesis 1:3
Without the holy light of truth humanity remains in darkness, BUT GOD our Father made it possible in His Son for all His children to see, believe, and be saved. The Word of God is LIGHT! Light reveals what is hidden in darkness and enables right vision, and knowledge of His perfect will.
In the New, the Holy Spirit expounds on the Light of Jesus through John the Apostle: “The Word gave life to everything created, and His life brought light to everyone. Light shines in the dark and the darkness cannot stop it.” See John 1:1 thru 5

Who catches the weak,

Focus on the Lord,

The Author of all truth;

A perfect wonderful Word,

Spoken that we may be new.

Stay strong in the LORD,

Creator of the universe;

Heaven’s beautiful Savior,

Given by God for the earth.

The KING on a cross,

The sovereign Shepherd,

Unwilling that any be lost.

Stay strong in the Lord,

Eternity’s SOUL Redeemer,

Died to save even the worst.

The living, breathing glorious Word,

Lift us out of pits we’ve dug,

Increase unconditional love;

Release the chains of doubt,

Make us certain of what and

Who life is really ALL about.

Give us David’s godly heart,

And Your will to do our part;

Help us know/love your Son,

And believe ALL He’s done.

Ignite in us a holy fire,

A compassionate desire;

Steady and perfect our aim,

So that our lives reflects the same.

You shall be perfect just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Man Of Sorrows

The blood of Jesus fell like rain,

As the Man of Sorrows took my place;

A billion drops of pain and more,

Spilled from the heart of our dear Lord.

When Roman hammers came down on Him,

Forcing steel spikes through feet and wrists;

To destroy vice He was crushed on a cross,

So new generations might not remain lost.

A river of red washed over the earth,

As the sinless Son of God bled and hurt;

In his Winter of agony Christ died for our sins,

But an Eternal Spring was about to begin!

The ocean of tears that fell from Heaven’s Eyes,

Drowned the sun during Christ’s crucifixion;

The Greatest Price given was paid for me,

To flood my soul with Holy Truth

and set my spirit free!
