This book is a compilation of poems written during Dee Dee's devotional times with the Lord. It is filled with praise, worship, honor, and exaltation of the Lord Jesus Christ and a supreme appreciation for such a great salvation given to us in Christ!

In 2 Corinthians, God tells us that He has placed a treasure within us, Christ! In Luke 17:10, it tells us that He has placed His kingdom within us! And in Colossians 1:27, it also states that Christ dwells in us as the hope of glory! It is this glorious treasure within that should be shared with the world by all means possible!

It is the author's intent that these poems will help the reader to love God more and draw closer to Him in their daily walk.

I dedicate this book to my first love, Jesus Christ.

My heart is on fire, boiling over with passion. Bubbling up within me are these beautiful lyrics as a lovely poem to be sung for the King. Like a river bursting its banks, I'm overflowing with words, spilling out into this sacred story. (Psalm 45:1 TPT)

Preface

These poems were composed from my quiet times spent with the Lord in the Word. They were treasured times spent in the Lord's presence in worship, praise, thankfulness, and prayer. Reading the Word, declaring the Word, and singing the Word are my ways to turn to and love the One who has been declared the Word of God! I can think of no higher or greater experience than being in the Lord's glorious presence! Jesus opened the way into the Holy of Holies and into His Father's presence for us by the blood He shed on the cross. He commanded us to abide in Him so that He could abide in us and be expressed through us so that the world would believe! This world, with all its experiences, can never satisfy our souls because the things that really satisfy us are found in Jesus Christ!

Jesus answered her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water. (John 4:10 NIV)

Jesus answered, Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. (John 4:13–14 NIV)

At the age of fifteen, I realized that there was something missing from my life and I was thirsting for something real. I was invited by my friends to a church camp up in the mountains of Southern California, where I was offered the living water. On that night, I received the gift of God, Jesus Christ, a spring welling up to eternal life! That night, the love of God was shed abroad in my heart, and He began to overflow. This was truly the best decision I ever made! I received the gift of God, the living water, and eternal life through my Lord and Savior,
