About this ebook

In the midst of uncertain times, it's even more important to focus on who we are and whose we are.

As sons and daughters of the Most High God, we have inherited a winning lifestyle. Not because we are so great and deserving of anything, but because God is love.

    Dedication

This book is lovingly dedicated to the glory of my Lord and King, Jesus Christ. He is the Author and Finisher of my faith. His and our Father God’s love is the anchor of my soul.

Also, to my husband, Philip, a gift from God, whose support and love never fail to amaze, encourage and inspire me to pursue my goals, dreams, and our God-given destiny together as ambassadors for Christ and the kingdom of God, for His fame and glory. We almost missed this blessed journey together, but God had a plan.

To Philip Jr., who left us much too soon. His heart of gold, his enormous sense of humor, and his love for his son, father, mother, and sister will always be remembered and cherished. I will always treasure the time I was blessed to spend with him. Rest in heaven, Philip Jr.; you are sorely missed.

To my nephew, Robert (Robb), whose strong faith and trust in God have overcome personal tragedy and physical limitations to become a champion of faith in Jesus Christ. He is my constant companion, cheerleader, and prayer partner.

    About the Author

    Foreword

Basking in the Multifaceted Love of God was birthed out of a yearning to empty myself of every care and weakness so that I could be fully immersed to overflowing with the presence of God, who is love. I longed to experience His perfect, warm, beautiful, yet powerful love permeating throughout every cell of my being and aspect of my life. I do realize that I will probably never be able to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of His love; it’s just too wonderful and surpasses my limited understanding. I only know every day that I wake up, I’m sailing His vast ocean of grace, of which there is no end, continuously being kept afloat by His unlimited, unconditional, multifaceted love for me.

He’s got me! Whatever comes my way, whatever doesn’t come my way, He’s got it all under control! Like a huge, sparkling diamond that you can’t measure, but every which way you turn it, there are so many brilliant facets, so is the Father’s love for us; like Father, like Son, Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, loved us so much, that He gave His life, His precious blood to pay off our sin debt, in full, once and for all. As a result, we, the blood-bought sons and daughters of God, get to bask (to take it in, receive its warmth, or bathe in its goodness) in all the promises of God, the blessings and power of God that affords us to live the abundant life that Jesus gave us, now, in this world. Amidst the raging pandemics and epidemics, ever-increasing crime, and economic disparity of this world, perfect love, the multifaceted love of God, casts out all fear. High and lifted up, it shines brightly for every Christian to bask in, grow thereby in, and live far above the world’s systems, victoriously in the world but not of the world. Just like the benefits of our covenant with God: they are out of this world!!! I know you will be greatly encouraged and inspired to do some basking yourself!

All scripture references are from the King James Version Bible unless otherwise noted.

    Chapter One

    Know Jesus Is All

    the World to You

The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is look at my window. I’ve heard many Christians say the first thing they do in the morning is get on their knees and thank God for waking them up with all bodily functions, the activity of their limbs, hearing and vision intact, and a sound mind, much like the testimonies of the older saints of the church I grew up in. I watched them, one by one, stand and thank God for still having shelter over their heads, food on the table, shoes on their feet, and being clothed in their right mind. Giving thanks always for all things, unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:20) is what they were doing. They would shout, Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord! and sit down. I understand now, as an adult, those things are the very things we often take for granted as we learn how to dream big and ask for bigger things from our heavenly Father.

I get out of bed, go to my window, open the blinds, and right there before me are the wonders of God. I thank Him for the marvelous canvas before me: the sky, whether cloudy grey or bright blue with puffs of white fluffy or billowy grey clouds; the trees, sometimes full of various shaped leaves, sometimes with bare boughs and branches stretched out and upward as if continuously praising Elohim, the Creator of all things. My attention is drawn to the green, grassy hills or the flat, brown ground, depending on the palette of the season’s colors it just happens to be. I am amazed at the color and size of the bird perched on my porch railing, as if resting or trying to decide which direction to take off in, when suddenly its head turns to look at me, then spreads its wings and glides away.

A squirrel scurries across the power line to another tree, then quickly down to the ground to search for food. I see a variety of houses made of wood, stone, and brick. In the distance behind them, I can see red and green neon signs of various motels, fast food chains, and gas stations. Vehicles of all colors, shapes, and sizes, trucks, cars, and motorcycles, can be seen and heard passing by my housing development. I realize there are people of all colors, shapes, and sizes in those vehicles, and sometimes I pray for them, but I always thank God for creating everyone and everything in this magnificent world. All creation, people, animals, fowls of the air, the creatures of the sea, all with innate abilities for survival, reproduction, and co-habitation, do glorify God. He made mankind so superior to the animals but not to one another. The functions of our brain and body systems and the creative ability to build, construct, invent, and develop everything under the sun all come from Him. All the glory belongs to Him!!!

But do you know what the most mind-blowing thing that I am thankful for is? That the same God of all
