Faith without works will be short-lived.

    2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Can you see my eyes, can you hear my cry,can you feel my pain, come a little closer

    The Poisoned Fruit Trees

We can only imagine what lies in the mind of a child that has no father, one that sees evil day in and day out, one that cries out for attention but it can’t be given because the mother works both night and day. One that seeks for hope and it seems to never come, one that goes from foster home to foster home. The one that gives her body away as if it is candy, the one that feeds off madness and evil because they never knew love.

As I gaze into their eyes, I can only imagine what they may be thinking: Why am I here? What did I do to deserve this? Why do I feel so much pain?

    THE FORBIDDEN FRUITS

I ate and ate from that tree so much that I stopped believing that I could go on, so much that my heart became heavy like a ton of bricks. I felt like I could not be like the others, those who had made it through the storm, those who had fallen but gotten back up again, those who had seen the light. I said to myself, Maybe it’s meant for me to be this way. One who lives in darkness, one who barely makes it from day to day, one who will never amount to anything, one who is looked at as an outcast.

    If Death Could Hear

    A day in our flesh

    To: Death

    From: The Broken

We felt that it was imperative that you received this letter, we know you have been

Granted a job, a job like none other, the most powerful job on the face of the earth,

One that brings both bitterness and sweetness to millions each minute; however

We are one of those who you brought great sorrow and pain, little too often one

Will Find themselves just being a robot at their jobs, everything becomes like that

Of a machine, no thought, no energy, just senseless and the matter of which you

Are working in your mind has no meaning; yet we being the ones who is a part of

The work in which you carelessly play duty; we suffer, we face sleepless nights,

I’m the One who now has to hold the house down, I’m the one who now has to sit

Down with my kids and tell them their daddy is never coming home again, I’m the

One who thinks about committing suicide because my world is gone, I’m the one

Who paid my child’s way through college with every little job I could find, busting

Dishes, cleaning houses, working as a maid, only allowing myself three to four

Hours of rest a day, just to get to my third job to finally one day be able to press

My hands on my heart as my baby boy graduate at the top of his class; only shortly
